Gala will have an option for a second year loan, and an option to buy as well. Agreement reached: Nzonzi joining Galatasaray https://t.co/xdantUGDIr— RomaPress (@ASRomaPress) August 14, 2019
wonder what the option is? Probably some number they'll never trigger or a lowball.....sigh. Ah well, gotta move on. Don't stop there, Petrachi.
2 year loan for a 30 year old? Gala might as well extend him by that time he has no market value. Sounds like a terrible deal.
I know math is hard for you, but he’s got a 4 year contract at 26.65+4m transfer fee, that’s amortized at 7.6625(let’s just say 7.5 because you can’t handle big numbers) a year, so we’d break even if we sell for ~15 next year, and at ~7.5 the following year. They are also paying his wages in full. I’m sure in a year or 2 someone would be willing to but this donkey for ~8m. Thanks again, dumbass Mongo.
I've always hated buying players after a WC because so many get overvalued based on 1 tournament. Nzonzi is a good player but not 30 mil good.
Let this be a reminder to what can happen when you swing and miss in that age group with heavy dough. Shit gets ugly. Doubt we'd find anything better for Pastore, atm, either.
Right when I was willing to mentally move on from Toby...these are the stories that kill me. So you're saying there's a chance!?!? yea but is it any different than the money we lost with; Iturbe, Peres, Karsdorp or what's looking like our most expensive flop, Schick. On the other side we spent money on vets like Dzeko, Kolarov who have paid huge dividends
We got Dzeko and Kolarov at bargain prices though. Problem with signings like pastore and Nzonzi, is that they cost a lot, and have huge wages. If Kolarov didn't work out, the investment wouldn't have been that big of a problem. Pastore is gonna hold us down for years.
Peddy covered it well. But yeah, outside of Iturbe, none of those were big investments. A current example would be Schick, who still has a market even though he's been just as much of a disappointment as Nzonzi. We loan him out for a year and he turns it around, we might have a decent asset again. If Nzonzi is a monster in Turkey does it really change anything?

Yes, basically nailed Moronchi’s decision making process in that terrible, indefensible Bianda signing. Coric’s too if we are honest.
Worse is when someone gets overvalued because they have a vaguely similar profile to someone who played well at a tournament

Lmao... Let me guess, we signed Coric because Croatia and Modric made the final? This shit just doesn't get old, lol. Keep it comin'.
Like literally yeah. Croatia had a good run based off the strength of their midfield and lo and behold we go and sign a Croatian midfielder who sat on the bench and contributed nothing to the team and probably won’t again this season.
Not to mention we signed Coric before the WC started, but who cares about a little detail like that? Doc only speaks in truths.
