17+2 is a great price for him. remember just a few weeks back when it was rumoured we would have to pay 35m. This feels much more palatable.
We are currently looking at a mercato that could have brought in: Veretout Diawara Mancini Alderveireld Spinazzola Pau Lopez That is closing up a lot of holes in the squad. If we can get rid of some dead weight, get a replacement for El Sha and a new striker this looks to be a great mercato and we have a month left to do this.
I am still hoping we can go for Ziyech, probably not in Petrachi's plans but if we sell Zaniolo then maybe it is worth a shot. He said we can’t have 40 players on the roster and that selling excess players is much harder than buying. If he manages to sign all of his targets, the roster will look like this: Excess players that have to be sold/loaned without replacement: - 2 GKs - One of Gonalons and Nzonzi - One of the 3 strikers - Maybe one of the RBs - Pastore or Coric If he manages to sell these 4-6 players and then offers arrive for other players, he can start buying again.
I thought I read somewhere that Kolarov was being looked at to play at CB? I have no idea how credible that was but given Kolarov's age I can potentially see that happening. If Suso comes then I guess both Pastore and Coric can be sold?
Doesnt make sense at all to me, Kolarov is shit in defending, day dreaming all time, his only assets is the skill move dribbling plus crossing, and maybe a powerful shoot as well, while all these will be useless if he is deployed as CB.
