Do you know if he still has a youth contract with America? Because if he does Villarreal can just pay his clause and the formative rights to America.
America along with Tigres are some of the shadiest teams around. He's not leaving until he's 22-23 like I said so don't waste your time wishing.
It depends when the player is identified. If they're younger and don't have a full legit professional contract then it's harder for teams to keep them in Mexico because then they can leave freely like Corona and Vela did. If players are identified for Europe after they're signed a good paying contract that's when Mexican teams play hardball. However, this may be changing because teams are seeing that Euro teams will pay top dollar for players and Euro teams are seeing that Liga MX is a good league that will tell you a lot about a player. The transferring of players from Liga MX to Europe is getting easier. It will never be at the level we want it to be because the league has too much money.
I don't think this is how it works anymore... It was my understanding that unless you have a Euro passport, you cannot transfer to a Euro club until you are 18 years old. Even if you have a Euro passport, they still make it harder for kids under 18 to sign with Euro clubs...
I suppose every case is different... Many players, and clubs always manage to find a loophole. Latest example: Roma announced that they are gonna sign a 10 year old Italian-American kid next season... The kid was born in Kansas. He'll move abroad to Italy with his grandparents to learn the language and grasps the culture.. Like I said, it seems it's a different case since he will be living with his grandparents, as oppose to players who move abroad on their own... This kid will get around obviously.... No pressure on Alessandro Cupini, the 10-year-old moving to Roma, then: https://t.co/PjnF1BCsXL pic.twitter.com/Oegc8jwjmi— James Tyler (still) (@JamesTylerESPN) October 24, 2017
Yes, of course... What I meant is case his different because of his age, and the fact he's going to live with his grandparents, yet he is still underage... How does not breach FIFA's statutes?. Because of this... I agree with your overall statement... FIFA has some odd regulations for dual-nationals... An extra passport, specially an EU one always helps...
Thats why so many argies and Br's go to Europe so easily, every other one has a european parent/grandparent.
We're talking about the regulations and statutes of FIFA when it comes to dual-citizenship, not about why argies and brazilians have EU passports.....
