Like always made by Mexican media, our players get blown up to look like superstars but maybe they belong playing like in newcastles, az, betis, Villarreal mid table teams, not everyone can play for Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and if they do they end up like jona on the bench and getting passed up by an Argentina or Brazilian player
I hope this materializes. Guti needs to move abroad to upgrade his game... Imagine him and Chucky playing together again... ¡Tras los pasos de 'Chucky'! Such a bs rumour. Sutcliffe is such a BSer. Wasn't there like a $40M buy out for him that the hammers turned down. No way a Belgium league team even Anderlecht have that kind of money. That's like their whole operating budget for the club!
Very good player that looks great in Liga MX because he is allowed time and space on the ball. Now that doesn't mean he can't adapt but he never will in Liga MX. He is still young so I hope he does move to Europe, even a smaller league, because no one in Europe gives you the time and space that you get in Mexico. With his age I'm sure he would adapt quickly and learn to play faster.
Apparently Everton is still interested in Jimenez and now Monaco too... according to tom Marshall but the 50 million euros price tag is the problem
I agree but English teams have a lot of money to spend and everyone knows it that's why players cost so much for English teams. The Benfica director did say that Jimenez would be sold for the highest fee ever for a Benfica player. I don't think Jimenez is going anywhere but I hope I'm wrong.
How do you charge that type of money for someone who doesn't have the stats to justify that kind of price? Not saying he isn't capable of having those stats, granted. We all know that his lack of play is what causes him to have limited stats, but bottom line he doesn't have said stats to back up being sold at a somewhat steep price.
If they say that's what he's worth then that's what he's worth . This means that who ever buys him will highly value him . Win win in my Book
He's worth 50 mil only if some team actually pays that price for him. Worth is relative between buyer and seller. I can ask whatever I want for my house but the amount of actual buyers will determine the price is I am actually able to sell it at.
very unfair by benfica to put that type of pressure (high pricetag) on a player when they don't even believe he is worth that much otherwise they would utilize the player. it's hypocritical and other teams will call them out on that.
This is the truth. Thanks for reminding me, friend . Everybody who can, should go. Our league is a stepping stone. Nothing more.
Usually you put a high price tag on an asset you don't really want to let go. Look at Barca ridiculous clause for Neymar. They never though somebody would actually pay it, but to PSG it was worth it so that's how much Neymar is worth now. If they want to sell him they would definetly lower the price to move the product faster.
Or an asset that you invested heavily in and want to make your money back on. They paid 22m for him from Atletico IIRC and maybe they want to see a good return on that, not just a few million more than what they paid. These two have a good point, if he is really a player that commands that kind of price why is he not an undisputed starter/star player? Neymar riding pine didn't get him that huge PSG deal. IMO Benifca is waiting to see if someone will bite at the 50m price but have the luxury of waiting and will take a lower offer when they are sure that huge cash in won't happen.
I agree, it makes no sense to me either looking at it from the outside but maybe they know something we don't. The more they wait and don't play him the more his market value can drop. It's a tricky game you have to play. I know I have taken a bath on some stocks because I held on to long.
If this happened and somehow another youth like orbelin went abroad that would be What we seem to be lacking today and tomorrow is defense...QQ
Everton have made a £27.5m move for Raúl Jiménez but Benfica are holding out for £46m. (Source: Liverpool Echo) pic.twitter.com/9MkNpMP8D7— Transfer News Live (@DeadlineDayLive) August 23, 2017
Well clearly they think they can get more. Keep in mind what they paid for him. He'll make a move I think.
