8,7 million euros.. Man, he doesn't worth the money but neither many players around the world. Wish him luck hopefully it'll pay us in the future. I can see him co-op with Quintero while el cucho in the attack in Qatar 2022.

Great transfer, Ajax have been developing talent exceptionally well, good enough that they have lots of offense but they sell all their talent so young players are continuously given a chance and relied upon. If he does well there in a couple years could be similar to Davison and on to a bigger club in a bigger league.

A player is worth what the teams are willing to pay for them... Or are you going to tell me that Mbappe is worth 180 million euro or that Ousmane Dembele is worth 115 million?

The market has gone crazy and Colombian teams must take advantage of that.

But this is exactly what I said. That many players are not worth the amount. I don't mind that Colombian club will take advantage of it, I just said that in my opinion he doesn't worth 8.7 just like Davinson even before Ajax should've benn sold for much more than 5M.

8,7 millions is nothing nowadays. If that's too much for a young player with potential, then there is almost not potential at all.

I think Benedetti can get lost in games at times but no one can deny his talent. I agree that 8 mil for a young talent like Benedetti is a good deal. When he's surrounded by skillful/talented players I think we will read much more about him.

    Davison was potentially world class.

Benedetti is potentially Quintero with work ethic......

Big difference one was starter of Dep Cali and a star

One was a starter at younger age at the biggest team in Colombia and champions of South America.

I think that Yerry Mina should have gone abroad instantly after Santa Fe won the Sudamericana. Santa Fe just has shit agents

Imo benedetti has the potential to be a player like james or st least better than quintero. Lets hope ajax does sign him and he flourishes there .

Not all players are world class

James is world class and one in a generation for us.

Benedetti to me if he is at least as good as Quintero with stamina and work ethic I will be insanely insanely happy. Or a Cardona with stamina and not a shit head.

Either way that is a starter for 10 years we will have

Benedetti is far more important for Cali than Davinson was for Nacional. And Benedetti has been key for his team since he was 18, so the younger thing doesn't work.

Potentially Quintero is such an under sell.

Well he is getting on in age. I doubt that he'll play an important part in the next cycle. He's had a good career in Europe so I don't think that a move to China is a bad move. It's not like he's just starting his career.

He is 2nd Captain 32 isn’t so old. Obviously not a Qatar player but he can helps get us there.

Look I don’t even want him or Abel in Russia but they are there. Russia is Abel’s last trip but we already have better DMs then Sanchez and he still picks Sanchez.

I guess it doesn’t matter if he isn’t coach after the WC. But if he is and we are stuck with Sanchez for another 2 years then I would prefer him in a competitive league

But that was Damian’s point, Sanchez (and Abel for sure) probably won’t make it to Qatar and may not even be part of the process. Besides, we have enough players that are improving to replace both of them:

Barrios, Cuellar, Uribe, Lerma, Celis, Perez...

You said it yourself, there are other players ready to replace him for the next cycle. He won't be in Qatar, so what's the problem? Besides, from your point of view (someone who opposes him even being in the Selección) then won't this be a good thing (for you)? Players who go to China have a very slim chance of being called up. Isn't that what you want?

Sorry, I was typing just as Liverpool scored...
Anyway, as I was saying: So what? Gio Moreno hardly plays when he is called. Friendlies mostly, if I recall corretly. Or very few minutes during qualifiers, like against Peru. And he's not going to the WC. Expect the same for Carlos. Seriously, you're really making this into more than it should be.
