some of you don't consider him Colombian but Poveda is most likely going to Parma in Italy on loan

I see it the opposite way.
He is English, has played in their youth system and is English until he shows interest in playing for Colombia and files the proper paperwork to do so.
    Until then he is English.

All it takes is one cal for either those two. We need to put forth a full court press to get two those.

It takes a call and effort on Poveda's behalf to petition for a one time switch since he already played official matches for English youth teams..
That could happen but there is no current indication of it happening soon.

I mean both are still pretty young. They follow our nt on Instagram. Our youth coach being a tool towards them isn’t helping matters but if Poveda does very well at Parma (if the loan goes through) and is a starter.

might justify his spot at Copa America or the Olympics. If we make it. I can’t really see him getting called for England anytime soon unless they are trying to cup tie him. Which don’t see why a team that stacked would do that

also David Ferreira kid got called by the US U20. Again we shouldn’t let our players get stolen without a fight. My biggest knock on the US is they cup tie u20 guys just to future proof theM. It’s really lame move

Again, Poveda has to go through the proper channels and paperwork procedure if he wants to play for Colombia. Then he has to get the paperwork approved by FIFA which at times is not a quick process. I doubt he will be eligible to play for Colombia this year unless he does it soon (which there is no indication of that happening).

Ferriera is not good enough for our Sub23/Olympic team. He is probably good enough for the USA. It is as simple as that. It is very unlikely he will be playing for Colombia in any capacity.

like 10 years ago didn’t some of you want Galvan Rey to play for colombia. There are some who want Cano to be on the NT... or Armani

not that any of these 2 guys are at the levels of the guy above but why give up on them already?

Yet actual Colombians no? Because we never gave them a shot or gave them a call?

Alzate played in an official match within the English Youth System?
His case is a little different.

No one is suggesting to give up on them. But we do have to be realistic and look at it intelligently on a case -by-case basis.
Poveda has to take the imitative if he wants to play for Colombia since he has already played for England.

Ferreira grew up in Dallas with other USA Sub 23 players who he is very close with. I believe that his case is more likely one to give up on because Reyes is not going to call him up and even less likely Queiroz.

If I'm Poveda and I see the young talent in the English NT I'd jump at the chance to switch to Colombia if the call came. England has the most really young talent then probably anyowe right now, and these guys like Sancho and Hudson Odoi are already fairly established. It can't hurt for us, if he looks good at Parma I'd hope the federation would approach him.

Wouldn't be a bad way to end off a career before retirement.
