It's official, Fallou Diagne goes on loan to FC Metz in Ligue 1. The initial agreement is set for 18-months but if Metz relegate at season's end then the loan is terminated at that point. They also have a purchase option if it runs the full duration period by end of the 2017/18 season. https://www.kreiszeitung.de/werder-...frank-baumann-bestaetigt-wechsel-7205375.html

Rumors emerging that Bordeaux's Gregory Sertic is available in the summer as a free transfer since his contract runs out. French source, L'Equipe is linking to Werder. Lamine Sane is certainly doing his role in trying to bring Gregory Sertic to Werder. Sane has reportedly already spoken to his former teammate at Bordeaux, and he's keen on making the move. There's good versatility in Sertic's game as he can play as a six, eight, or ten. At the moment, Baumann has not confirmed or denied any interest on his part. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...062/artikel_werders-sanc3a9-lockt-sertic.html

He has a chance right now with the senior team, considering the current injuries in the midfield to Junuzovic, Bargfrede, and Grillitsch. Serge's father, Jean-Hermann Gnabry provides some commentary on what he's advised to his son about. Such as him staying with Werder for 2-3 years. With past examples being Özil and Diego developing here. And that Serge needs to be displaying something more here before taking the next step. Baumann is also working on modifying his current contract. Including a raise in salary, along with an increase in his exit clause which will only take effect from 2018 and onwards. http://www.fussballtransfers.com/bundesliga/dreikampf-um-gnabry-hoffnung-fur-werder_73707
