Just thought I’d point out that David Bingham’s GAA this year is almost exactly the same as Tarbell. I don’t think keeping him would have made a whole lot of difference. Both look terrible

Maybe Vako and Guram could get this 19 year old Georgian National teammate to join the Quakes.

Giorgi Chakvetadze, central attacking midfielder who plays for Gent in the Belgium league.

Scored his first goal for Georgia yesterday, Vako with the assist.

I'm sure after winning the world cup next logical step is San Jose Quakes. :D tbh, I've never been that impressed with him at Manchester United but I'd be beyond ecstatic to see a player of his skill level arrive here.

sounds like a complete waste of time, why would anyone do that? our DP track record speaks for itself. nobody believes we're ever going to sign world class DP even though signing such a player might be the smartest move we could make.

How much do you think we could get for Fiorenelli, three of four bags of Doritos?

The Gonzalez family is up in Santa Rosa, Quakes are one of ~15 teams after JoGo's 15 year old brother:

The Earthquakes are experts at recognizing talent - after it’s been evaluated by other teams and elevated to a price beyond their (EQ) stingy means...

As someone who knows the Gonzalez family relatively well, I’m gonna say San Jose is a serious long shot

Report that Fabian Johnson almost signed with Cincinnati but MLS blocked it because they felt Cincy was trying to circumvent allocation order. If Quakes finish last, wouldn’t they be number 1 in allocation order? Johnson would be better than Shea, right?

    TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor

Superman was traded during the season; could Batman follow?

Should he become available, there'd be a large trade market for Miguel Ibarra including the Portland Timbers and San Jose Earthquakes, according to The Athletic's Jeff Rueter. He stresses that Minnesota United isn't actively shopping Ibarra.

    Jeff Rueter‏Verified account @jeffrueter
Sources across MLS are expecting there to be a large trade market for #MNUFC's Miguel Ibarra. I'm hearing #RCTID and #Quakes74 are both likely to be making offers. Both coaches are very familiar with Ibarra: Gio Savarese from the NASL, Matías Almeyda from Liga MX.

The two teams rumored to be interested in his services are coaches familiar with Ibarra's prior career stops. He played for Minnesota in the NASL, where Portland boss used to be the head coach of the New York Cosmos, as well as for Leon in Liga MX, while new Quakes boss Matias Almeyda was managing Chivas Guadalajara

Because I can't help but be pedantic sometimes, I love how the term "boss" was used to describe Almeyda. If there's one thing we definitely learned with this whole Stahre disaster, it's that the coach most certainly is not the boss.

Looks like Ibarra is having an ok season, Interesting that he's got about double the minutes played compared to last year, more than double the goals and assists in that time, but only 50% more shots and shots on goal. If his quality is really as linear as that, I'm not sure he's much of an upgrade over some of the current options, but having not really watched Minnesota, I have no idea how he looks compared to the rest of his not very good team.

No thanks. Endoh was boo’d with his every touch of the ball the last time he played at Avaya Stadium. This was after his embellishments sent off both our Panamanians.

It would be nice to have an Asian on the team again! But I suppose that will be unlikely under the new coach...
