For posterity, I'll link to his inclusion in the final roster for the U20 World Cup: http://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2015/05/07/08/30/150507-u20mnt-2015-world-cup-roster-rel
Red Star currently sits at the top of the table and has won promotion to Ligue 2. We'll see if Tall sticks around next year as he's on loan.
Might be a confidence thing not playing more with Red Star.. Hmm this u20 WC will be his show case so let's see what he's got with real determination
Red star won the league and was promoted Ligue 2 today in incredable fashion. Won 4 to 3 after being down 3 to 1 in the 90th. They scored on the 90 +1, 90 + 2, and 90 + 3. http://www.flashscore.com/match/z5NImrJh/#match-summary
I wanted to bump this thread after watching him play at the U-20 World Cup. Very impressive kid. Great movement off the ball and very very fast. This World Cup could see him get picked up from a bigger club.
He had a nicely taken goal and was a threat every minute the US had the ball. He plays with both speed and power. He's also quite a mature player and is intelligent for his age.
Meaning that if he wanted to play for another country (France, Ivory Coast) he'd have to file a one-time switch, right?
Out 6-8 weeks with a broken toe: http://www.starsandstripesfc.com/usmnt-youth/2015/5/31/8694613/maki-tall-injury-u20-world-cup
I will be missing the rest of the World Cup . Good luck to the boys 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/bAnL25StVA— Maki Tall (@MakiTall) June 2, 2015 Played in the 1st U20 match, so he is provisionally cap-tied to the US.
