Are the broadcast rights for the playoffs separate from the regular season, or will we see the same carriers (and thus, a lot of games on Univision Deportes)?

With one caveat: games on Azteca America (Cruz Azul, Tijuana, Monarcas) will be exclusive to Azteca America. No simulcasts on either FOX Deportes or ESPN Deportes.

Expect quarterfinal and semifinal round matches to be on Univision Deportes Network except for the ones scheduled for Sunday afternoons at 1pm ET on Univision.

The 2nd leg of the final will be free-to-air. Too much money on the table for Univision to bury the match on Univision Deportes Network.

Club America, Monterrey, and Tigres home games will be on the Televisa networks (either Canal 5 or Canal de Las Estrellas) in Mexico.

Wow so none of the games are on Univision/Galavision/Telefutura. And Univision Deportes is only on Dish Network - how can they possibly consider this a good thing, cutting out so many subscribers?

Univision Comm. is throwing a couple of bones to viewers by giving away the Club America vs Pachuca series on TeleFutura free-to-air. The other 3 matches will be exclusive to Univision Deportes Network.

Univision Comm. only collects $0.05/subscriber each month for Galavision, but a whopping $1/subscriber each month for Univision Deportes Network. The DISH Network deal alone pays for the U.S. rights fees to home games for 11 out of 12 Liga Mexicana teams (not including Club America home games, which are worth at least $50 million/year.)

    Wednesday May 2

9:25pm ET - Pachuca vs Club America - TeleFutura

    Liga de Ascenso Final

    Wednesday May 2

6:15pm ET SDD - Lobos BUAP vs Leon - GOLTV U.S.A. (time approximate after Real Madrid C.F. La Liga trophy presentation.)

    Saturday May 5

8:55pm ET - Leon vs Lobos BUAP - no live U.S. TV (live on FOX Sports + in Mexico; not available in the U.S. due to UFC on FOX Deportes)

Winner of the Liga de Ascenso Final will play Correcaminos next week in the Promotion Series. 1st Leg on Wednesday May 9 will be live on GOLTV U.S.A. (to be hosted by either Correcaminos or Lobos BUAP.) Don't know yet about U.S. TV for the 2nd Leg on Saturday May 12. GOLTV U.S.A. has U.S. rights to Correcaminos and Lobos BUAP home games (via a deal with PCTV, which operates TVC Deportes in Mexico), but FOX Deportes has U.S. rights to Leon home games.

So, the Azteca teams got knocked out. Will Univision "gift" some quarterfinal matches to a non-Univision Deportes station? It would be a shame to miss the Santos-Tigres rematch.

The Final has been simulcasted on Univision Deportes too. Good decision by Univision in my book.

Hard to believe the season is starting up already. Anyone have the full tv schedule?

I'm seeing a few listings (I don't have Un-Deportes), incl. Santos-San Luis on Telefutura on Saturday.

That's a bunch of horseshit how the ******** did Univision get the rights to Tijuana's home games? That was one of Azteca America's teams and it was suppose to be until they got relegated...What about Leon will they be on Univision Deportes's channels as well?
