    Hi Beny:

Please develop a thick skin. There will be countless assholes from here on out, who have never watched your son kick a ball, that will begin making judgments on how far he'll go as a player, your parenting skills and who your son is dating.

Bonus points if he's eligible for more than one citizenship, and you'll probably get matrimonial offers from numerous posters, about their daughters, so he can get backdoor citizenship.

    Yours truly,

MM10S - King of the Trolls

Welcome to bigsoccer, Eric's dad. Hopefully you enjoy your stay. Has your kid been to any of the DC kiddie camps? Mind you, i've never seen the video, as I can't watch it from work.

    Eric's dad,

Yeah, don't let negative BigSoccer posters get to you. Many a parents have come online to speak on their child's pro career. But definitely take your son to DC United, they'll hopefully have some good ideas (college/best playing) for your son's benefit.

Thanx, I never taught that his videos would make it this far, I just made them for fun to share with my family. The USA need to encourage players to play like this, instead of just boring soccer.

    1. Your kid is very talented.
    2. If his dad keeps on hanging here the kid is doomed.

Just keep developing first touch and stuff. At the age for 12 look to do those things with speed.

Thanks for posting the vids. Your son has talent and good size for his age group. As you know there is a long and hard road ahead for the both of you, hope he continues to develop. I have coached at the youth level for many years and I can see his skills and most important his vision of the field, keep in mind he may show some signs of awkwardness when his body begins to grow faster than his game (between 13-15). Just continue to give him all the support and keep your feet well grounded because he will encountered issues outside of his control, like injuries.

Hope to continue to hear your son's accomplishment in the near future. good luck.

That's extremely rare: loved your kid 6 years ago, and still love him. His intangibles are unteachable. Please disappear for 4 more years and hopefully when you return the kid is on NT. Scrum;).

I found new US youth futsal team has some wonder kids on youtube, such as Bryce Blevins, Eric Calvillo, Angel Lopez and Evan Rotundo.

Excellent news, wish him the best. I'll keep an eye out for him when I watch MX games on tv.

He has a Yanks Abroad thread, by the way:

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/mexico-opportunities-for-eric-cavillo.2048187/

My read on the timing is that in student terms he is a high school senior now, but if he is leaving will miss his senior season, since Virginia public high schools play soccer in the spring (would be Spring 2018). He was listed as a junior in a May article, and DCU had him as a 2018 grad.

    http://dcut.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=1400319&player=28722186

But the Washington Post confusingly listed him as a senior after his junior season in awarding him its All-Met designation.
