Zlatan has been a regular starter in all teams he's played for. Most notably, he was a regular starter for Juve. Larsson was never a regular starter for leauge-winning and CL-winning Barcelona. So Zlatan wins there as well.

The only reason Barca got Larsson in the first place was that he was cheap.

Ibra only got starting time at Juve because Capello never dropped him when it was necessary. Zlatan was still playing disasterously and he was still starting for the next match.

How Henrik Larsson isn't consistently listed as the run-away number one player of this time period is as shockingly ludicrous as it is sad. His dedication to Celtic was his only fault - and that's not a fault at all.

Whenever Celtic (or Sweden for that matter) faced a more elite Euro squad - Larsson was still a, if not THE, star of the match.

    Debate 2-20 all you want.

I can tell you why :

To qoute the 'Kaiser', Franz Beckenbauer: "60's belongs to Pele, 70's to Johan Cruyff, 80's to Diego Maradona, 90's to Michael Laudrup"

Despite Laudrup did not win the 'European Footballer of the Year' award in the 90's, he did something no other foreigner had ever done, by winning the Spanish Championship five times in a row....and he was named 'Best foreign player of the past 25 years' in the Spanish league in 1999...

These are certainly two amazing players (Larsson and Laudrup). Interesting to note that they have exactly the same number of appearances (104) AND goals (37) for their respective national teams as well.
