Re: Todo sobre Velez 2006-2009 Oh I was there all right. Got beat up by golf ball sized hail but it couldn´t have been a better day. The game wouldn´t have been as close with Cristaldo and Ponce in, but we clearly showed the better play without them. Honestly, I´m quite sure I will never re-live a moment like the ones when Morales scored and 8 minutes later when the campeonato was ours. Undescribable.

But I ended up not missing my little girl's first loose tooth and the ensuing tooth fairy fantasy. So in the end, I cant say that I lost out. Esta mañana he leido que Jorge Valdano ha estado reunido con el presidente de Velez negociando el posible fichaje de Otamendi para el Real Madrid (aunque parece que no sería para ahora - quizás para diciembre). Re: Todo sobre Velez 2006-2009 Otamendi was the center and strength to our defense and was key to winning the Clausura. Watching him play was amazing as he rarely made a careless tackle and almost always ended with the ball at his feet and the opponent on the floor when he did. I figured Europe would come knocking for him as soon as this season was over but I'm hoping he will choose to stay to give us a chance at Libertadores. It will be extremely hard to replace such a good defender. Desculpá el inglés pero no tenía mucho tiempo.

You have to admit that even with the bad calls, the game was pretty entertaining. I was watching it here in Rio while the Fla-Flu game was on so when Caruso scored twice and I yelled, everyone around was desperate to know what the hell I was yelling about. I have never liked Javier Collado. Always feel we get cheated in some way, but whatever, it could be worse. They could be MLS refs.
