Yeah, but then you're comparing a population of German American professional soccer players to all German Americans. To be a better comparison you'd also need to include the families where it didn't work out, they're in Germany, and we never hear about it because the kid isn't a pro soccer player.

    Anyway...

The funny thing is that there are a few different Germericans (Jerome Felton, Brandon Gibson, and Mike Jenkins) who came back with their dad's as kids and ended up going into the NFL. It's like thinking about alternate universes huh? like maybe if Terrence Boyd came back with his dad as a kid he would still end up a pro footballer. Or Timothy could be a top recruit to Bama.

Gibson and Jenkins parents were American on both sides, no German connection, thus always would've ended up back in the US.

That's super impressive. Refs should have sent him off after the first two (in the 88th min), but looks like they were lenient enough to let him stay around an collect another brace.

Timothy is young, but this is a perfect example of why I feel he'll end up representing the USA. He's a very emotional player, and has a tendency to pick up yellows frequently. He accumulated 4 in 20 odd games last year for Munich U17 and already has 4 in 6 matches for Munich U19s, not including the ones above. Since 2015 he's accumulated 13 YC in all competitions, rather high for an attacking player.

Much like Jermaine Jones I don't know how much this plays into the German set-up. Granted if he becomes on the more feared attackers in Europe the Germans will make an acceptation, yet they are so deep especially at this spot, small things like this might become a factor moving forward as Timothy competes in mixed age groups.

For the US it is clear we are a national team built on emotional players. I think Timothy would fit right in.

Real Madrid (and Klinsmann) are interested.

This is also Real Madrid. "We know that they have watched him for some time," says Christian Rößner, but the Spaniard first refused: "Timi wants and should be at Bayern Bayern." What is difficult enough.

Gentlemen, Rottner wants to lead Timothy, "we can wait in silence." "Timi is a great character," even the affair with Real Madrid leaves him quite cold. Rößner takes him, as far as is necessary, out of the medial focus, "he should concentrate on his football alone." The talent also needs protection, Rößner, who is limited to the care of only a few clients, can give him that because he is intensely caring: "I do not take 40, 50 people in the hope that it creates one," advice means Him much more than just a call a week: "For me, trust plays a big role, I live the family thoughts."

Only now do not turn over, is the premise. Not only Real, but also the United States are dredging the talent: "Matthias Hamann sat on behalf of Jürgen Klinsmann", Timothy was to play for the home of his father, a member of the US Army who left the family early. But not only does Rößner trust the boy to be able to do it in Germany too: "We are only satisfied when he runs into the arena. And whoever gets through with FC Bayern is always a topic for Löw. "

Was with the German U18s recently and scored a couple of goals:

Two reasons for the cheering had four talents of the FC Bayern in the past days with the German U18 national team. Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, Adrian Fein, Timothy Tillman and Manuel Wintzheimer won two victories in the autumn training camp of the DFB selection in Salou, Spain. On Sunday, the team from Nationaltrainer Meikel Schönweitz won 3: 2 against the same age selection of Ireland. Hoffmann and Fein were in the half-time alternated, Tillman and Wintzheimer came from the 60th minute to the employment. After a 2: 2 defeat, the DFB team was able to turn the game, among other things thanks to the goals of Tillman (1: 2) and Wintzheimer (2: 2), still in his favor.

A day later, Germany won 2-1 against the Netherlands. Fine, Tillman (up to the 68th minute) and Wintzheimer (up to the 76th minute) played from the start. Tillman scored the goal for the DFB 1: 0 in 20 minutes.

Arena, or whoever's after, is going to have a hard time making the type of inroads with Tillman. Klinsmann was working hard and I personally feel would have landed him in the US camp at some point. With Jurgen out it is surely and uphill battle for Timothy. It should be said he is firmly involved with DFB, however is still interested in aspects of US. I hope this staff continues to scout, call and evaluate Tim and all the young dual players.
