On purpose?

 

It isn’t like you make a wrong turn and wind up in Bakersfield. It is mostly a self-inflicted happening.

 

Last year my alternator went out on I-5 and I got towed to Bakersfield and had to stay overnight. Most time I've ever spent there, and I hope that record stands.

 

The thing is that when the big one [earthquake] happens there will be ocean all the way to Bakersfield. To quote Jonathon Winters, "Why stop there?"

The shooter, described as an Asian male, is still at large.

Los Angeles Undersheriff Tim Murakami tweeted that several people are injured. Sheriff Alex Villanueva told ABC7 he believes the suspect and victims are all students.

The Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station said victims have been moved to a hospital, and that the Central Park on Bouquet Canyon Road has been set up as a reunification point for parents.​
