Ok, possible. Maybe you should clarify it then. What's so darwinesque about the story? The guy jumping out of a bush in the evening? That's not darwinesque because nobody may reckon that he gets shot dead for that (in the civilized world) So, maybe you could clarify rthings for me.
North of Lake Okechobee? Never. But I think he's referring to Germany, who set the precedent for this US regime
1. He presumably knows at least a little about the shooter if he has reason to want to "celebrate" the shooter's birthday. Yet he went ahead and did something stupid and got killed anyway. 2. Yes it is stupid anywhere-- it won't get you shot most places, even in America-- but it is the kind of thing that causes people to fall down and crack their skulls or have heart attacks irrespective of nation. It isn't particulary funny or pleasing in any circumstance that I can see. So I'll save my sympathy for more reasonable victims- lord knows there are enough that it isn't hard to find one.
Well.. again.. I don't see any blame at the victim. Again... for you living with gun violence this may be stupid behaviour. I and other Europeans for example wouldn't even consider to be in danger in a situation like that in their wildest fantasys. It's just not part of any forseeable situations. Another note: without a gun in the house, it would be still a complete family. Guns don't bring safety, never.
You know, you've opened my eyes-- I never realized before that here in America when we're travelling a couple thousand miles to visit somebody, the reason why we call ahead is because gunz. I thought it was just the civilized thing to do, but you're right, we only do it for self preservation; where in the civilized old world the custom is to jump out of bushes all the time to freak people out. I mean come on--of course it is stupid to shoot at someone; but here you have a guy, probably drunk if he has already been quarreling with a family member, who is being told every day that he needs to be afraid of foreigners and refugees and black people and the government coming for his property and that his only real protection is his gun-- and you go jumping out of bushes at him in the dark when as far as he knows you are still on the other side of the Atlantic? A pox on him for being in a hurry to set off guns; but a pox on you for utter stupidity too. Its a wonder that you used to know how to breathe, and it does seem like you have made a modest improvement in the gene pool to me. And while we're at it a pox on the NRA, Fox, Trump, and the Republican party for doing their level best to make and keep us afraid of each other and you...
Never is an exaggeration. Guns are dangerous, but sometimes they help. For example, when I was at college a student stopped a rape because he had a gun. He became a hero at the school, but he was still expelled.
Halloween a couple of years back, an exchange student wearing a mask. Yes it was Halloween. Went to someones door after a treat. He got more than he expected. Right in the chest. Dead as a dodo. No charges brought. Only in the US of A.
LOL, you'll make a good conservative yet. But, I would also pay whatever was asked if I was them. From MGM's point of view, it's not about wealth distribution, it's about marketing. Regardless of whether it's fair or not, the last thing MGM wants is for the story of the shooting to stay on the news, and especially a story saying that they are fighting in court not to pay the victims. Especially considering they are in the gaming business and people are superstitious, the last thing they want is bad news related to their hotel/casino, which would be perceived by rich rollers as a bad luck place. So paying makes a lot of sense for them.
While spinning about how much you love America and your customers and your role as good corporate citizen. Yeah, so would I. If we're running MGM, our job is to make money, which won't be done by fighting the settlement publicly. And yes, MGM will survive this settlement fine. I just think that the deep-pockets approach is bull, that's all.
Was it this one? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Yoshihiro_Hattori It was 1992, and the guy did face charges and was found Not Guilty, because, only in America.
Got to be. I remember it was a Japanese exchange student. But 1992. Don't time fly. Still what kind of bastard does that, knowing that it's Halloween...?
Thoughts and prayers for the poor gunz!!! Dick’s Sporting Goods has to date turned over $5 million of their gun inventory into scrap metal. Well done!— Scott Dworkin (@funder) October 8, 2019
TrumpLandia should be even giddier as both shooters are also Hispanic. One of the shooters was involved in a similar situation, sans the shooting, earlier this year and was released from custody when he should have most probably been jailed.
Right. Guns don't kill people, illegals kill people. And, if guns were illegal, only illegals would have guns.
