I was watching 60 Minutes Sunday and saw that individual conservatives and centrists are saying it never happened, and threatening the relatives of victims.

In sworn deposition related to a lawsuit filed by Sandy Hook survivors and family, Alex Jones is claiming he has a psychosis that developed after years of constant lies from media and corporations for him believing the various conspiracy theories he peddles on Info Wars and, therefore, he shouldn't be held financially responsible for peddling those conspiracy theories.

I'm sure he has a diagnosis of said psychosis by a professional psychiatrist right?

 

As novel as the Twinkie defense. I think Jones was born with diminished capacity or was dropped repeatedly on that fat head.

 

Does it matter? Even if he has an official diagnosis, does it protect him from being sued for profiting off the results of that psychosis?

Also, it may be noteworthy that he basically walked straight from the deposition where he admitted that Sandy Hook was real, to his InfoWars show where he wondered if the suicide of one of the Sandy Hook parents was staged...

Yeah, when I first heard the story, I thought it was white guys getting a free pass. A bit of reading, and now I think your post is an understatement.
