http://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/655701?referrer_id=2333971 The Portland Timbers 2 will make a little bit of history on Saturday night when they take on the Swope Park Rangers in the first USL game to be played in the state of Idaho. The match is a home game for Portland and will be played at Brighton Stadium in Meridian, the third-largest city in Idaho, close to Boise. It's all part of the Timbers’ burgeoning relationship with their neighboring state. Idaho is classed as part of Portland's homegrown territory in MLS terms
The game took place last week. 2-1 Green Team. Neco Brett with a goal and an assist. http://www.idahostatesman.com/sports/soccer/article81899437.html
ok so while I've only looked at a few of the various pics...did not seem to be a sell out from what I was looking at: "natives start for Timbers 2 in front of sold-out crowd"
Probably because the match was held at a high school stadium. Over 4,000 was a max capacity crowd. It may not have looked it, but all tickets were sold from reports.
Haven't had the volume on lately while watching more than one USL game at a time, so not sure if this has been explained previously. Blake Bodily has been playing frequently, yet I would think he would already be playing with University of Washington, which (earlier in season) announcers in games touted him as having signed with in preseason. Now, on the UW roster, he is nowhere to be found. What happened? He is not on the Timbers 2 roster, either.
After watching last night's Sounders 2 vs. Timbers 2 match, my question was answered. Apparently Bodily is taking a "Gap Year" before he reports to the University of Washington and begins his time with the Huskies.
So how hard is it to get tickets to the Timbers 2? I plan on going to the game on July 9th against the Galaxy. Are they something I need to purchase weeks in advance, or can I pick them up day of game. Thanks in advance!
Easy. Timbers 2 rarely if ever sold out at a 4,500 seat stadium. Now playing at Providence Park this year will be incredibly easy.

Bummed there's only 1 match at Providence. Hillsboro is an hour without traffic for me. I miss the Merlo days. Such a great little D2 stadium.
I don't know, but I want one. Tillamook as the sponsor is a big winner. They are pretty great otherwise. I like em a hell of a lot more than the weird (albeit popular) Rose City shirts the big club are wearing (that I never would).
