It's not being negative, it's being realistic. Can't take much away from this goal, it's harder to score against USL teams.
Nobody is taking much away from the goal. We are merely celebrating the goal. Like, you know, normal soccer fans.
I think Weah has enough in his locker to stop the trend of Americans failing in Scotland. Scottish fans are a bit suspicious about American players because of the amount that has failed here. Zelalem, Bedoya, Kitchen, Johnsen, Beasley, Cervi etc were absolute busts. The Celtic fans will be hoping Weah performs like Boca or Reyna, not like the previous players mentioned.
Considering Celtic only breached the defence three times, I would suggest you're being a tad overdramatic. It can't be that easy.
A different view of Weah's run - what a fantastic ball by the center back! 1086699370542759937 is not a valid tweet id Also, I enjoy "Boom, Boom, Boom let me hear you say Weah....".
That song has got to be blared from the rafters if he scores for the US in a qualifier at home. Place would be rocking.
That's what a good cf does. I never understood why Sarachan refused to play him at cf. He's good at leading the line as you saw on that goal. He can press the keeper too.
BMJ wasn't a failure at Hearts, and Hyndman was well-liked at Rangers. Basically a completely misleading post.
Bedoya was only there for a season and played the equivalent of five matches minutes wise. Beasley made about 20 starts in three years.
Johnsen scored six goals in 35 appearances in Scotland. Do some research before you say somebody is being "misleading." Nothing I said was misleading in the slightest. Hyndman gets pass marks at Rangers, as do Reyna and Boca.
Post game interview https://streamable.com/amp_player/ap5rx?__twitter_impression=true He said his goal at Celtic is to score goals and create unbreakable friendships
Weah has a nice debut and you come in here and totally unnecessarily dump on a bunch of previous Americans to play in Scotland.
Why are you taking it so personally? You're acting like I've done something horrendous. I was just pointing out that fans in Scotland are a bit weary of American players because most of them have not been successful in Scotland. I explicitly said I think Weah will buck that trend. He looks good. Polster has potential as well, although people said that about Zelalem, kitchen etc. That's the point I was making. Calm down, jeez.
