tim was no world beater or neymar. but you're on drugs if you think edouard was any good.

edouard ran into crowds and lost the ball consistently. also could have had an assist off a great timo run...but hit the pass behind him.

I think saying Edouard had more of an impact is correct. He got the ball in good positions, made a few things happen, messed up a few others. Most of Weah's best moments came from running off of Edouard's dribbling.

Weah in contrast focused a lot more on link-up play and rarely if ever took the ball and ran at people the way Edouard did. He had a decent showing, hopefully with Kongdobia suspended for next match (he was a monster v. Celtic) and 2 goals down, Weah can get a start and show more than he was able to in his limited time today.

The Neymar bit was superfluous, lol

i guess negative impact is an impact. he got on the ball because he was on the win.. Celtic would have been better of keeping Sinclair on.

no kidding. just watched and Edouard isn't anybody I would have under contract. Weah was very good. I liked what he was doing.

Tim on bench. Eduardo starts. This is why loans are not optimal. Teams play their players over loaners even if not deserved

While that may be true. Weah is getting a lot of minutes and is helping out the team scoring and assisting. That was the whole point of the loan

Scoreless at half time. Bodes well for Timo.

    Neither, B/R Live.

I think ESPN+ only has Scottish Cup matches.

Attacking subs should always get at least 25 minutes. I'd love to see stats on their effectiveness when given more versus less time than that.

Weah helps create a Chance with a controlled header to combine with a teammate but the next player’s theoughball pass was just a little too strong and the GK dived on it.

Weah does some nice work on the flank to beat his man and drill in a nice low cross but a defender nicks it.

Another nice control and touch by Weah to get in another nice cross. Defended out to a corner, but Celtic score on the corner kick!

Victory! And Weah gets a yellow for getting feisty with the opposition! Instrumental in the victory, created a handful of chances, including the corner resulting in the goal. Another successful super sub appearance.

I love to see Weah not getting intimidated by these Scottish hacks. Totally ready to flash on them.

Maybe, but it ended up working for Celtic.
Where did you come up with that rule? If a coach does that, he loses flexibility to change tactics if goals are scored.

Weah got 15ish minutes and was able to make an impact. I'd like to see him play more but this is good for him at this stage of his career. Just like Sargent yesterday, when they are put on late they have to more urgency to make things happen. It also keeps the number of plays to analyze lower and easier to focus on/absorb. He turns 19 this week and in his first season as a pro. There is no need for tons of minutes and less may be even more.
