Hi, I would like to make the trip to Columbus for the final match of the year v. DCU, but cant commit to anything. Does your stadium usually sell out? Will I be able to get 2-4 tickets at the box office? Any knowledge would help, thanks.
Normally, I'd say that it wouldn't be a problem. But they packaged the LA tickets with the DCU tickets this year because they're the last two regular season games this year. Combine that with the game being the season closer, us being in first place , and the fact that historically we draw good crowds when you scumbags visit (sorry, couldn't help myself) and you might have trouble getting a ticket. I'd get them early and sell them to another DCU fan if you can't go.
Tough to judge how big the crowd will be for the DC game, because the Crew will hopefully have already clinched a playoff spot. Probably won't sell out. But if it does, the Crew sometimes sell standing room only tickets, and there are almost always scalpers selling tickets outside the stadium at normal prices. That said, you should get your tickets through the DC fans or Barra Brava. It's very likely that this game will have some sort of playoff implications for DC, whether its making the playoffs or just your playoff position. Crew Stadium is a nice place to visit. Any SSS is.
I would love to do that, but it's not really a definite yet. I go to WVU, and it's more likely gonna be a 'spur of the moment' type choice, ya know? So Id hate to be stuck with tickets and then have people bitch out and not want to go.
a lot of tickets are already sold even tho it's Sunday game. then again that's according to FO and they love to embelish
I learned a long time ago that there are far more bitch outs than attendees. My advice is wait for day of game. There are always scalpers or tickets floating around somewhere.
