Deja vu all over again TPSP bargain basement team don't except much yr after yr. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has an alternative idea on how to improve the level of play across U.S. Soccer 😳😂 (h/t @dpshow) pic.twitter.com/6s5atz68DD— SI Soccer (@si_soccer) April 19, 2018
there are other franchises besides the Rapids that seem stuck in the same weak attendance patterns year-after-year- dallas, columbus, chicago- interestingly, all are outside the DT core others are slipping for a variety of reasons, but mostly just getting poor results and/or poor management-ownership- phillie, houston, montreal- but certainly, colorado, chicago, dallas and columbus are major concerns within the league and there are cities who could be a better market - it wouldnt suprise me to see other franchises in the same position as columbus its going to be a dilemma for MLS and how it plays out in columbus will be a barometer for other weak franchises just saying- its happened in other sports and will happen in MLS
As you stated Union , Fire , FCD, Crew & Rapids stadiums that were build far from urban areas , but lots of lessons learned after but right now these teams will struggle for yrs to come .
Could you imagine the insane cesspool that must exist on the internet where Fiosfans signature makes sense and is encouraged? I hope you have the guts to read an econ 101 book someday. In the meantime I think its time to put joker on ignore.
Crew Stadium was built far from an urban area? Under what definition does less than 5 miles from downtown qualify as "far"? By that definition, RSL and SKC fit as well, and neither are struggling at the gate.
Just going to stroll in and say.... Since signatures are at the site level, we can't apply N&A's strict rules upon them. We do nudge people whose signatures are patently offensive and ask them to change them, but signatures have to violate BS's site rules before we can force a change... Any concerns about specific signatures can be sent the direction of a super moderator.
How typical of them , if you disagree with them nowadays they force ban you I guess it's the sign of the time . Some folks are totally lost their collective mind around here, & i got more complaints from a few to the mods than Howard Stern is getting from FCC.
Then laugh and move along. The fact that a simple declaration of that sort gets you this riled up is a strong indication that the problem isnt him, it's you. Censorship is always totalitarian.
Globalist has a long history as an anti-Semitic slur. And phrases like "Globalist & liberals are the enemy & will destroy America within" fit the old anti-Semitic, internal enemy trope rather precisely. And anti-Semitism has often been a tool of totalitarianism. The signature should be changed.
Demonizing your fellow citizens who happen to disagree with serves no purpose other than to justify weakening our cherished liberties. Not saying "liberals and globalists" don't do it too. All people who make ad hominem arguments are a bunch of poopyheads.
I've started a discussion in the mod forums and tagged the super mods, so this is probably a good place to return to discussing the news of the day rather than signatures. Thanks for your input everyone!
Hi. It's me again. Once again, thank you for your input. I, for one, learned new things. As I said, I’ve tagged the super mods in the mod forum to have them weigh in on the subject. I’ll be deleting future posts. Thanks!
Crew stadium is in central Columbus. Most of the city is north of "downtown". Columbus sprawls for miles in all directions from Mapfre. And the neighborhood across the freeway from the stadium is predominantly African-American. Somehow I don't think that's what people mean by Urban when talking about soccer stadia, as opposed to radio stations.
