Earliest date CCL MLS teams can begin training is Jan 11....so they have just 4 weeks to get ready for an International competition? No wonder.... And the 2020 MLS season starts on Feb 29, what happened to starting mid February as it was said? It is basically starting the same day as this 2019 season and once again we will see a condensed schedule as the season will end in October. Add the Leagues Cup, USOC and FIFA dates and we will start seeing again a lot of midweek games of lower quality. And I can forsee it now, all MLS teams won't take the Leagues Cup seriously again and even if they wanted they can't due to the condensed schedule. I was excited about that tournament but just don't see a point in having it when you already have too many games in such a short period of time.
Gents, apologies ... these were intended to be the headlines for Thursday 14 Nov 2019 ... Crazy day at work this AM.
I hear this horseshit all the time. Wolves returned to training June 27 this year. Their first Europa league match was July 21. Thx, Jay!
It wasn't only the Wolves doing it. The team they played against in Europa League had around the same time too.
