A forward named Chris Mahaffee was on trial with KFC Uerdingen (Regionalliga Nord). He scored a couple of goals against minor league teams. I don’t know the latest – if he’s still on trial, if he’s signed meanwhile or sent home…

Hertha BSC Berlin Reserves of the same league are trying an US goalie in their training camp. His name is Ron Goguen, 24 years of age.

Jordan Older appeared on the DFL transfer list. This doesn’t have to mean anything as any player can be put on this list, but you got to appear there before being transferred to a Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga club. Yet I don’t know a club he is linked with.

Ron Goguen played for Barry University, a D2 school in Florida (I think).

"Mahaffee" is actually "Mahaffey." He is apparently going to be on trial with several clubs in Germany:

I think he's currently "on the books" at Georgia State University.

As for Jordan Older, well, I'll leave that one to the experts.

Thanks as always for the information, olafgb.

Make it four new Yanks in Germany: Yuri Morales joins the list.

"Als Gastspieler trainiert der US-Amerikaner Yuri Morales beim VfB Fichte. Der 22-jährige Stürmer aus Kalifornien spielte in der dritten brasilianischen Liga und am College in den USA und such einen Vertrag in Europa."

Apparently he played in the Brazilian third division.

    He attended UMass:

Yuri Morales? That sounds like a punch line to an alternative to the "Bucky Weinstein" joke.

The only one I read about was Ron Goguen, whose trial at Berlin was extended.

Regarding Jordan Older I assume that his agent just put him on the transfer list to bring his name to the market. I didn't find a club he's linked with.
