Yeah, hopefully the F1 people will be out the door soon. With Bhatia bringing in Vijay Mallya to take their place. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/05102010/23/briatore-ecclestone-set-leave-qpr.html
They saved the club, so I don't want to be too hard on them, but it also became clear that Briatore's management style wasn't likely to move the club forward, either. Without Briatore/Ecclestone, no Mittal/Bhatia, so while I'm happy they're heading out, I'm also happy they came.
I feel like Briatore deserves the credit for saving the club and bringing in Mittal and co. Eccelstone was just there for additional funding, which he never bothered to release. But they deserve some credit for saving us... though I am so happy to see them both gone.
Question in relationtion to QPR ownership. I'm aware that Lakshmi Mittal is actually wealthier than Sheikh Mansour of Man City. But I also know Mittal only owns 50% of the club. Lets say QPR continues to do well and gets to the Premier League... Any chance Mittal tries to pay off the others and get sole ownership, or even continue with things the way they are now but spend recklessly like Mansour to become a really competitive club fast? This intrigues me just because Mittal has the money to do whatever he wants. I just thought Id ask QPR fans on how things will be going down in terms of ownership and finances
Oh man... these guys can't go away fast enough http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2897/championship/2010/10/19/2172904/if-we-were-to-get-into-the-premier-league-then-my-dream-would-be-
Yeah, he just has no idea how to run a football club. I'm happy he came, but even happier he's leaving.
