I was hoping Rafa's return to the league would have gone better.

A few years ago I was hoping we would buy neither. We ended up buying one of them. Then as now, Liverpool's main problem was an inability to keep the ball when under pressure and to defend set-pieces.

Well, now that the pundits have awarded united the league title for the next three years the only question remaining is whether Huddersfield Town can end up in the CL places. Nice win over Toon today, should make the league entertaining.

 

not necessarily. each season one of the promoted teams goes on an early tear - pure adrenaline I think - but they peter out. I expect that to happen to Hudd.

 

I reckon by that time, it will have done enough to give itself a points cushion in the fight for survival. Newcastle finished 13 points clear of Huddersfield last season and both have spent about £40 million. Yet, today Benitez's side looked a bunch of lower league plodders. I think there is trouble there at St. James's Park.

 

Huddersfield made some clever signings and the team are behind the manager.....newcastle/Ashley and Rafa are not quite right this season

 

yep. rafa has a bad habit of working at clubs whose owners are shit. how anyone works for ashley is beyond me.
