No worries. This place coupled with Crewsmas and add in the impending doom of our team to the mix has me very nostalgic. I thank all of you for letting me be a part of this community (even if I have not been an active member at times).
At least a half-dozen or so people around here know my dad, and he is not BA. Fiddy would have been after you long ago. And I doubt that BA was at my wedding. Speaking of BA, even back then BA was the sought-after ticket. I remember being asked to reach out to him for an interview. I am not 100% sure, but I think even back then I had the stones to ask him for one.
There was a brief spell, during the most intense "who is Keyser Soze" phase where even I was suspected of being Bill. But how do you know he wasn't?
I love weddings. They're like female Viagra. When I was younger it was easy pickings. Say hello, ask for a dance, and an hour later there's a huge pile of seafoam taffeta on your hotel room floor. Now, my wife might object to me hosing bridesmaids so I have retreated into simply weeping at the cheap sentimentality. Or maybe it's because my nridesmaid- boffing days are behind me. Nowadays they seat me at the serious people table. Sucks.
Once upon a time, I introduced a roommate (let us call her Angela) to her future husband. Usually those important people speak at the wedding. I however was not invited to her wedding. Sometime later I learned through a mutual acquaintance that, and I am quoting to the very best of my recollection, “Angela felt you were not excited enough when she told you she was engaged.” I do not have a moral of this story because I still have the darndest time understanding these things.
Saved you the cost of a blender or a silver chafing dish. And Angela sounds like one of those women to whom one smiles warmly and says "maybe you'll invite me to your next one" Just call me Miss Manners.
