Very unlikely that they have an odd number of matches/day, since that would team in the same group different number of rest days. Pretty sure they will either have 2 or 4 on a day. Given that they have 36 games for 14 days, my guess would be 2 games on weekdays and 4 on each Saturday and Sunday.
The women's world cup is not accustomed to having an odd numbers of matches each day. The men's world cup is accustomed to it at times, and in 2018, it happens a lot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_FIFA_World_Cup
I'm curious if the new French generation are stronger mentally than the previous one and don't choke in tournaments

I want to say again, I really appreciate the posts with details about 2019. I'm forwarding them to friends from the US who are planning to be there.
Full schedule will be presented today. France will be in A1 and play the opening game at the Parc des Princes.
Both semi-finals and the final in Lyon was an interesting set-up. To have the decisive rounds in the tournament in one city is a new approach. I guess teams will appreciate to settle down in one city towards the end.
The home of OL, which is most of the French national team? So the French get to play not only in their home country, but also in their home stadium in the city where most of their players live? Certainly the French will appreciate to settle down in one city towards the end.
Lyon has also the biggest capacity of the stadiums, I believe. IIRC, unless some stadiums are having extra seating put in for the WWC, it holds double that of the smaller stadiums. Paris has the next biggest, so a good place to have the opening game.
Qualifications end at the beginning of December. The draw in 2014 was December 6, so likely the draw will be in the first or second week of December.
I'm also thinking seriously about trying to go to this one although I have several other trips already planned in 2019. So its still up in the air. Also I can't make serious plans until the draw happens, so I'm just dream planning here. I'm thinking of going for the group stage and of basing in one of the cities besides Paris (been there multiple times, and looking for somewhere different). So for the French (or European) posters here: I know its dependent on which group the US get drawn into, but just in a general sense, if you were going to base in the north, which city would be most enjoyable with good food, fun things to do between games, easy transport to the other cities, etc? Same question for the south.

In the North, I guess Lille is a good place to stay. In the South, Montpellier is great, Lyon is a bit northern but great transport links. It depends if you intend to drive or public transport only. With driving you can select smaller size cities. the referee refereeing the game between Germany and USA shouldn't be allowed to be anywhere near such a big game again i'd also rather see Europe winning the WC again been some years now
