I'm going to go on a limb and say there's not a chance that's why he wasn't called in. Klinsmann commented on him, saying it wasn't the time to bring in a new player. I think he would have mentioned "actually I did call him up but he's getting married"

 

And yet he called in Parkhurst who hasn't played a game in a month? But congrats to Lichaj. Keeping up the good form and he might get a chance over the next few months.

 

For these qualifiers it makes sense because Parkhurst has been in the fold with these players and this team, while Lichaj hasn't been in many (any?) JK camps.
