It's an honour he'll have to repeat next season, unless the club are sold, quickly. Under Fawaz Al-Hasawi, Forest have gone though eight "permanent" managers and three caretakers in less than five years. There is no chief scout and a desperate-for-a-job-at-any-cost director of football was only recently appointed. Meanwhile, its once-famous youth programme has disintegrated.

As for the Front Office, Forest have had a full-time chief executive - as if there is any other kind - for only five out of Hasawi’s 59 months as owner, and there is reported to be no structure in almost any part of the management. That includes the finance department, which is responsible for paying players on time - which doesn't always happen.

The only stability is the owner's monthly rendezvous with Her Majesty's Revenue in the High Court as he contests winding-up orders (the UK equivalent of Chapter 7 rather than Chapter 11 bankruptcy). If one of those orders is granted, the club goes into administration, which means minus 12 points before a ball is even kicked. And relegation wouldn't be out if the question either.

I really hope he gets called up and is given meaningful PT (and plays well). He could do a job for another Championship club, and a good performance at international level might trigger an offer.

Looking at the Google Maps, The City Ground has a really nice setting on the banks of the River Trent. Amazing also how close it is to the Notts County grounds.

If you want a really crap fact.

The City Ground is actually in the County of Nottinghamshire and the Notts County ground is in the City of Nottingham.

Traore is made of glass. If he's out for a while, and Mancienne is needed in midfield, I can see Eric getting a nice amount of minutes.
