Lichaj went 90 at LB in a 3-1 win at home over Leeds. Eric recorded the assist on Forest's final goal. (Damien Perquis started for Forest at CB and scored a goal. Perquis moved from Toronto last month.)
I'm actually going to the match today so if Lichaj starts, I'll let you know how he does. Should have his work cut out for him with all Villa's new signings.
Indeed, he starts. #NFFC v Aston Villa: Stojkovic, Lichaj, Mancienne, Perquis, Fox, Carayol, Kasami, Lansbury (c), Cash, Osborn, Vellios— Nottingham Forest (@NFFC) September 11, 2016
He played at right back all match. He did well in my opinion. Nottingham were really lucky to have the match end 2-2. Villa had 26 shots to Nottingham's 2. Lichaj was against grealish all match and held him to a relatively quiet match at least from the left. Lichaj received a decent welcome by the villa fans since he did play for us for years.
35 seconds in, with a beauty. Well worked chest down, deceives defender with a left shoulder turn, then quickly picks the ball out of the air with a volley to the right and lunges to send the ball inside the far post. Forest were 3-1 victors in the match.
yes. he played in the 2011 Gold Cup. I see poland has a really good squad. Lots of players in Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. But I do wonder if lichaj might have a shot with them.

Snip: 4) Eric Lichaj is in the form of his life It feels like the American defender has been around forever, but at just 27, it'd be hard to argue Lichaj is playing [DMN EDIT: It sure does seem like this should say "is not playing"] his best football in a Forest shirt. Against Birmingham, Lichaj could quite easily have won the man of the match award, and not just for his goal. At Ewood Park, he reverted to left-back and then left midfield to accommodate changes to the back line. He never lets the side down, doesn't cause any problems, gives 100 per cent and even throughout what was a pretty turgid Reds performance, was a shining light on a dark night in Lancashire. http://www.nottinghampost.com/five-...9821797-detail/story.html#9Xl7halh1FZiQbkE.99 "A shining light on a dark night in Lancashire" wouldn't make a bad thread or memoir title...
I legitimately thought Lichaj was in his 30s. Shocked he's still 27. Makes Klinsmann's treatment of him even less excusable.
He really hasn't looked all that good for us in his limited appearances under JK. But then again that does not always seem to be a priority for JK else we would have dropped Wondo and KB a long time ago.
