Anyone know any details on Rennes? Bocanegra played there for 2 years. He was in a cup final with them as well. And I know 1 of the Swedish players (at the WC) played for them. Other than that; are they a mid-table club or bigger? A EL-type side?

And I hope y'all appreciate that last attempt at a laugh because the google image search was.... scarring.
So there's one name I've been overlooking in terms of young, tall French target forwards besides Siebatcheu and Sebastien Haller: 6-foot-4 Jean-Philippe Mateta. He's 21, last season was statistically about as good as Siebatcheu in Ligue 2 while on loan from Lyon, and has now secured a move to Mainz. He has been starting for them in preseason. Both Haller and Mateta should be starting in the Bundesliga, and Mateta should be in position to get called up by France U21s. This is good news for us, of course. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jean-philippe-mateta/profil/spieler/420002 https://talksport.com/football/1749...rkids-25-strikers-you-must-sign-161223221604/ Jean-Philippe Mateta (Lyon) – A young French target man, Mateta is strong and good aerially. Meanwhile his technical attributes are also handy to begin with. He'll develop into a goal-every-other-game striker with the right nurturing.
On Friday, it's going to be Siebatcheu vs. Pulisic as Rennes and Dortmund play a friendly in Austria. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/...s-stats-pulisic-witsel-reus-hakimi-510304.jsp
Rennes are essentially going all-in on Siebatcheu. They've handed him the #9 shirt and have decided to loan out three other CFs, including France U20 Jordan Tell, who wore France's #9 against the US U20s in March. Tell had been playing, and scoring, for Rennes in preseason when subbing in for Siebatcheu. The only other primary CF on the roster is Diafra Sakho, who seems to be a shell of his former self.
Richie Williams needs to call and give him a ultimatum: he either joins the USMNT or he breaks every bone in his body. "10 minutes, I'm at the airport already."
Dude's all-French, wants to play for France, doesn't speak any English, so I don't see it being a big loss.
Sarachan says there have been conversations with Jordan Siebatcheu.— Paul Kennedy (@pkedit) June 9, 2018 That's not to mention US Soccer called him up to the U-23 team in 2016
Read the quote again. It wasn't Jordy who played against us. unless my sarcasmoscope is broke,in which case,my bad.
Unfortunately, Siebatcheu obtained a minor injury in the Everton friendly and is not in the squad against Dortmund. Rennes' squad without him will have three attackers in total. https://redon.maville.com/sport/det...ition-avant-le-grand-bal_une-3502700_actu.Htm https://www.staderennais.com/amical-5-le-groupe-pour-bvbsrfc
interesting turn of event in Cameroon NT, they hired Dutch legends Clarence Seedorf (manager) and Patrick Kluivert (assistant manager) for the job 4 days ago. Curious to see if they ever approach Jordan or not.
