Went the full match as Reims fell 3-1. According to their Twitter, he had an attempt that was just centimeters off.

That is not a recognition to take lightly. French Ligue 2 is highly competitive with plenty of excellent soccer athletes. He should be in the conversaton with our current group of forwards.
You think? he has 3 years to prove all of us wrong. There is nothing for him to pressure him to make a decision anytime soon.
How dare you even think that he might not want to play in the Gold Cup! That should be his, or anyone's, life's goal.
Even if he wanted to, beating out Chris Wondolowski for a roster spot isn't some given to be taken for granted.
The funniest thing about Wondo, besides how much my girlfriend hates him, is that he will somehow end his career without a single appearance in World Cup qualifiers.
Your girl actually has enough invested in the sport to hate him? Sounds like a keeper to me, my friend.
Has there even been any attempts to call this guy in? If he's turning down caps that's one thing, but if we're just picking Wondo over this cat, that's just insane.
Wearing a US Soccer beret, Dave Sarachan walks up to Jordi with a wry smile on his face and follows with "Bonjour, (hard J on the Bonjour), mon ami"
I believe there is a report where he was approached and he declined the interview because he felt his English was not good enough. Later on, his representative gave out a statement saying that Jordi would like to concentrate with club for now and he hasn't thought about playing international ball. To me, that is a polite way of saying that he is waiting for France. I think we had a small chance until we lost our WC ticket, now he doesn't have to decide for another 3 years.
That was just for an interview with Sciaretta. Later on Sciaretta reported he was called in for the U23 games against Colombia, but the club rejected the call-up. We have to remember that he went very quickly from Ligue 1 to a loan in the 3rd tier. He's only been back with his home club in Ligue 2 at the start of the season. A call-up for a new guy wasn't going to happen then. Plus he has had the U21 call-up for France. He may have a better sense of where he fits in the French pecking order. If he's interested, he's interested. If he's not ready, then we move on until he can make up his mind.
