    Sounds like he scored:

63' Equalization of @LaBerrichonne on a strike from Raineau taken over by Siebatcheu. 1-1. #USCLLBC

In short, it is to have a more peaceful life that the parents of Jordan Siebatcheu left the United States for France and Champagne. Their son was born in Washington twenty years ago. He therefore has dual nationality, American and French. His father is an entrepreneur, his mother teaches languages in courses of international law.

"I do not remember too much about the United States, I left very young. In Reims, I soon liked football. So I joined the football school of the Stade de Reims.

He made a brilliant debut and scored decisive goals (5 in 3 matches), including a triple over against Bastia. "My mother asked me why I did not put four ..."

    Fun facts:

He's now their top goal scorer in the league and joint top scorer in all comp

Despite being in second place, they only scored 2 or more goals 3 times before Jordan's arrival. They've now done it in 3 of the 4 he's played in. The one they didn't was the Cup match against Ligue 1 side Lorient.

He is playing on loan in the 3rd tier. His home club was relegated to the 2nd tier last season.

I wanna get excited about this kid, but the French third division? Just can't get there.

The good news is that Siebatcheu does have starting experience and has scored goals in Ligue 1 before. Obviously it's a small sample size, so who knows if he's good enough to eventually be a regular starter at that level, but at least there's some evidence to support that notion.

He's playing and scoring. By the standard of most 20-year-old American players, it's not precocious, but it's still arguably ahead of the curve.

I'm guessing Maryland, Stanford, Wake Forest and a handful of other top NCAA programs could hang with the French third division.

Look, I want this kid to succeed and I get the need for games and development and I hope this serves as a springboard for a long first division career. But I just don't think an American (or USMNT-eligible) kid who isn't YNT-eligible playing at a low level like this is that newsworthy anymore.

I'm guessing on guile, experience and yes, toughness, a good 3rd division French pro side would beat any or all top NCAA schools. Our college kids are largely entitled and don't know about sport as "earning a paycheck".

Speak for yourself, I think it's fascinating watching a talented 20 yr old earn his stripes while seriously underestimating the quality of French football.

He also has a physical profile (6'3" target man, obviously athletic) that not very many forwards in our player pool have. No one thinks he'll be a star, but a 20-yo with three Ligue 1 goals and now doing well starting on loan for a side that may well be promoted to Ligue 2, is worth keeping an eye on as a potential pool addition a number of years from now.
