Wow. Not bad if you want to get everyone's attention. Seemed like it was just a nutty rogue fan, but best to nip it in the bud with the firm financial whack.

Marinos academy player Masashi Wada goes to train with club investors Man City. When are they gonna loan one of their players to Marinos?

I got on Japanese TV at the 2-0 loss to Nagoya the other night... It was really fun, but Marinos looked like they'd never practiced together. Very strange sense of dislocation on the field was evident from the start. I'm not sure why since I rarely get exposed to the team, but it looked out of character. The fans were spectacular. I had a great time!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410747933.188631.jpg .

Higuchi seems out of ideas, Shunsuke is not performing as last year, Saito needs to step up and the defense is always gifting goals, even Nakazawa...

Hi Guys hopes some of you guys living in Yokohama knows more about this, but just heard that back in July Baseball team Yokohama Baystars revealed a plan to build a new Baseball dome with Hotels and Casinoes on the site of Marinos Town. I know Baystars where trying this back in 2002 but the site where rented out to Marinos instead. I also knows that Marinos only holds lease of the site until 2016. Does anyone know more? Has Marinos a backup plan if they get kicked out of the area, I know that same Marinos fans are trying to petition to build a soccer specifik stadium instead of the Baseball Dome.

Many Marinos fans wanted him out but I don't really agree. Marinos has still one of the best defence in the league, which often is a good sign to build on. Not his fault the management thought replacing Marquinhos with 2 or 3 crappy strikers was a good idea

Come one man. They are right. He has a very defensive approach for the Japanese football.

Same approach that lead them to be 4th and almost 1st from what I recall. Oh, and an Emperor Cup. You could've put Mourinho but nobody was going to score in this team.

By the way, returning to J1... Marinos said that will decide their new trainer talking before with some people from Manchester City.

Erick Mombaerts is really a peculiar choice for a coach.

I'm curious to know what the reception in Japan has been with the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as head coach?

to his credit postecoglou completely reinvigorated brisbane (won the a-league) and the socceroos (won the asian cup and admirably punched above their weight in brazil).

but the aussie media and fans either loved or hated him. if he makes enemies with the japanese media then everything will go downhill.

Hi everyone, I just came across this Yokohama F Marinos jersey I've never seen before. Wondering if anyone has any info on it? My guess is it's a training kit but if anyone knows anything, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks![IMG] [IMG]

Yokohama had a lot of possession but Iwata's compact defending forced Yokohama to play through crowded areas. Any missed pass was then used to counter an exposed Yokohama defence.

Yokohama were camped in Iwata’s half for the last 15-20 minutes but couldn’t find the back of the net. Really struggled to break Iwata down up until the send off of Santos in the 79th minute.

Santos left the pitch kicking and punching players and officials after his second yellow card of the game.

Great win for Marinos this weekend. I know the manager Ange and his wife personally so I am keeping a close eye on the team even though I support Urawa.

I was at Suita in the away section (even though Marinos is not my favorite team either), and couldn't agree more.

The defensive issues from last year are still very much there, and Thiago Martins were directly to blame for both of Gamba's goals. But the way Marinos played going forward that game is some of the best I've seen in J.League and if they continue to score more goals than they concede I might have to adjust my initial rating of them this season.
