Shunsuke and Bomber are both on higher salaries, but Marquinos is likely on around US$1million. I'm not unhappy with his goal scoring, what let him down last year was the back injury that kept him out of the first couple of months. He should be on more of a performance-based contract at that age, I think.
I concur! Although I've always been a fan of Maraquinhos. He's a guy everyone hates to play against, and you can't question his commitment. Plays with fire in his belly.
Respect needs to be paid to Shonan, any flat four defence will be surely tested by this very quick counter attacking side. They may not stay up, but they are difficult to beat.
And not to mention it was Dutra's fault for turning the ball over and leaving Bomber stranded against one of the quickest players going around. A centre back of any age is going to find that situation difficult to deal with.
I have really no idea why he is so stubborn about Dutra. Especially when he has at least 2 imo better and younger -> future prospect options
We F-Marinos supporters don't get it, either, don't get it at all. Kanai played a handful of times last season and was more impressive than Dutra. At least as competent defensively, and better going forward - nice crosses into the box, even scored a couple himself. Going against him is a black mark he earned off the pitch in 2010, when he was done for driving without a license whilst the G20 summit was on. He was suspended for the rest of the season and he mentioned the incident recently when talking about going on loan to Tosu, which leads me to think there may well be people in management who don't want him to be a starter. I really hope Higa can put the pressure on the starting LB spot. The other option is Narawa who was selected for the JFL's Best 11 in LB last season.
Little thing: i'm seeing a great Nakamura. He's like Totti or Di Natale: he's getting better with the age going by.
Last season was his best since his return, seems to be picking up from where he left. I just hope he can stay injury free.
Yep. And he's doing alot of extra work as well, like staying back 40mins after team training to practice fk's. As much as I love to see him score, be it from a free kick, corner or open play, it's all the little things that he does that wow me, as the above clip shows. He also takes different options to what most other playmakers do, he thinks differently. Saito is thriving without Ono Yuji, it seems, as well.
Saito has regained his pre Olympic confidence back. Seeing more of the ball too, much more positive and intelligent with the ball than Ono.
New-look line up and formation against Omiya tonight? Glad that we're not hung up on keeping the unbeaten run going and instead looking to give young players a run. We'll be lucky if there's a stream of this game tonight, but I'd like to see how Nagasawa goes.
that's the thing we'll all waiting for, I'm skipping the ACL for that. The said Japanese Iniesta, or Yokohama's Kagawa.
Marinos-Omiya games are usually pretty dire, very difficult to watch, though... There's been so much press about Nagasawa, it'll be hard for him to meet people's expectations.
I could watch the 2nd half and the last quarter of the first half, but I can't find any stream. If anyone can help, please post it - if there is one, that is and he is on the bench, w Saito too
