I'm taking Lewandowski over Aguero too

He also more durable than Aguero.

Doesn't seem AW's MO to cut loose a long time assistant for the sake of appearances. He is far too loyal and stubborn for that. Makes sense that Boro is leaving for a promotion (1st team asst to 1st team manager) but find it very odd that he would choose to leave after being AW's right hand man for over 20 yrs. Honestly, if Boro is leaving, I think it is more of a "rats abandoning a sinking ship" scenario. I think he is getting out before AW bails so that he knows for sure that he has a gig.

This isn't an apples to apples comparison, but if it were, I'd pick Lewandowski only because of injuries. A healthy Aguero is a monster, still.

Can't go wrong with either, though.

Debatable. Both have comparable conversion percentages. Similar enough to be affected by sample size and style of play.

Just going to leave this here:

I'll accept that Lewandowski seems like he's better in the air, but that's really stretching here. They're both excellent players, and I'd take either in a heartbeat, and I'd be really reluctant to say that one is better than the other, because they play differently, and who you take comes down to fit.

Lewandowski is probably a better fit for Real because they have Ronaldo and Bale, but he's also 28. More likely that Real go hard for Kane.

Boro leaving was squashed by the club the next day, and in Wenger's presser yesterday as fake news. Don't know what your source was but if it was The Sun then I'll just leave it at that.

And Dick Law leaving? From what I can tell, that was just projection based on Arsenal supposedly looking at future DOF's.

Both stories seem largely if not entirely invented. I think they'd be more credible if they said these 2 guys would be leaving if Arsene doesn't renew his contract. But that wouldn't be earth shattering news then would it?

So Bigman, don't get too excited just yet!

I'd rather keep Alexis than Ozil, but apparently Ozil is happy to stay. OK, so then if Alexis leaves, then it's not the end of the world. Lacazette or Aguero if Wenger has the balls, would be able replacements.

If we could start the FIRST league game as thus then we should be OK.

We don't need many players, or many replacements. Just a change in tactics, formation and attitude. 4141 should be our main formation, changing to 442 or 4321 if circumstances permit.

He'd go only if he forces himself out. They won't let him go as they need his goals to sustain top four, and more revenue to pay off their new ground.

Saw the Pulisic highlights- I doubt BVB would let him go, but that kid looks real good.

He looked really good. Wouldn't mind having him at Arsenal at all but have a feeling AW would waste his talents. He likely wouldn't leave either. He is getting good PT at Dortmund.

Exactly if Perez & Wele at times are sitting on the bench for Theo & Ox, Pulisic will be wasted.

We are now linked with Mahrez and Wilshere seeking renewal eyeing Ozil's spot after a successful season playing at #10 for Bournemouth.

Welbeck plays when healthy. Perez is extremely one footed - Wenger doesn't like those kinds of players.

How exactly is Wilshere's time at Bournemouth "successful"?

Not been hearing those. I've been hearing that Wilshire may take some advise from Beckham and give AC Milan a shot.

Things I have heard/read (though most likely not credible)...

    GK
In - Schmeichel, Rui Patricio, Pickford, Butland
    Out - Ospina

    LB
    In - Kolasinac
    Out - Gibbs

    CB
    Nothing

    RB
    Bellerin and Barca still flirting

    CM
In - Rafihna, Goretzka, Tolisso, Bakayoko, Barkley
    Out - Ozil, Wilshire

    W
    In - Reus, Carrasco
    Out - Alexis

    ST
    In - Lacazette, Silva, Mbappe
    Out - ???

Wilshere would probably do well in Italy- given the general standoffishness of Italian "defending" Wilshere would probably have plenty of room to distribute and less likelihood of being injured.

Serie A don't play that way anyomore and Serie A defenders are harder than what you see in England imo. That with better team shapes.

I don't think Serie A would be good for him.

Yea wilshere at Bournemouth is not what id call successful. 25 years old with tons of experience with a top 4 side and you only manage 2 assists in 25 games? No thanks.

I watched id say 5 or so of his games. Very invisible throughout, not playing as the engine for the team. Just another body more or less. Given his history, youd expect more from him.

There isn't any CMs in the side that he could supplant, even on the bench at this point. Id try to move him, or let him do another stint at somewhere like Everton if theyd take him.

Secondly, as I said once before we have the players; we aren't using them right. Id say we are probably paper thin at wing and lack a dominating presence up top, but we have the foundation. Just seems like a waste of time if Wenger is coaching.
