I really like Bale as a person. It's the same with Danilo tho. Both are great madridistas and very likeable . Unfortunately both aren't good enough to be starters. I'd much rather keep James than Bale.
What are the odds of ZZ testing Bale at Isco's position? If Bale has to play no matter what when fit, maybe he could adapt to the current system. And if I'm not mistaken, Bale requested to play more as a playmaker than right winger under Carlo and Rafa. Could be a less disastrous final IMO. If ZZ goes with 433 Bale isolated in the right, I'm afraid our attack will suffer a lot. Even more if Benzema doesn't show up. Bale, you're a great dude and the final is at your home but take your time with that recovery man. Come back in July and let Isco do the dirty work against Juve.
Bale wanted to play as false 9 (SS) free to roam. He is not a playmaker. Where did this come from? Lol
He should also assess the fact that there's a high probability he will have a stinker of a game in the most important match of the season (considering he has no match fitness) that too at his home - that's a sure fire way of putting holes in your legacy. Bottomline is - no one should be more important than the club. This will be a worse travesty than Alba dive if we somehow manage to start Bale ahead of Isco , could also probably lead to Isco departing as well.
I would like to give Zidane the benefit of the doubt that he has learnt his lesson from the Barca debacle. Bale has no place in the starting XI even if he is 100% fit.
"I wouldn't be disappointed if it happens, because we're playing the Final. I'm trying my best to be ready for the game and we will help each other no matter who starts because we only care about the team," said Bale. "Isco is a fantastic player and he has performed very well over the last few weeks. I am really happy for him because he's helping the team a lot. We only care about winning this Final," Good stuff dude. http://www.managingmadrid.com/2017/5/30/15712356/bale-real-madrid-juventus-start-news
Bale's own admissions here make it sound like it's 95% if not 99% a sure thing that Isco will start on Saturday. Bale/Isco doubt not much of a doubt. Bale will accept sub role, and admits not 100% https://t.co/5xO9yhR7Mo— Sid Lowe (@sidlowe) May 30, 2017 I hope he's well enough to come on and make an impact late in the match.
So classy of Bale. That's why we all love this guy. Keeps his team first, and even lets the inform player have to go for the greater good. I'm sure he'll get a run in at some point, I hope he scores one of those crack goals he scored for Tottenham and totally stumbles Buffon (wishful, I know).
I don't think Bale is going anywhere. He is poster boy.. His face and Ronaldo's are the two used on the posters advertising el Clasico that will be played in Miami.
Surprisingly candid of Bale to admit this. All but confirms Isco starts imo when even his competition agrees how well he has been doing and his own injury issues.
They took it down once he skipped training and Tottenham confirmed that he wanted to leave the Club. I think the Premier League didn't rent the space anymore though, so it wasn't technically replaced with something else. I think that if a very good offer comes in for Bale, and Bale feels good about it, the club will take it.
Bale saying he's not ready for 90 mins is a good sign. Less pressure on ZZ now. Give the guy the last 10 minutes and that's it. Great attitude from Gareth.
I'd rather start him if he has to play... Imagine that he comes in as a substitue and reinjures himself! It would be the best to keep him on the stands and play better players - Morata and Asensio.
Nope. We have to start with Isco and feel this match out. Set a good pace to the play. Depending on how Bale feels we give him 20 or less minutes to make a spark.
