It was more than 12 melons though, it had to do with them not "respecting" that long haired douche and their other transgressions over the past couple of weeks (or months).

I still don't see how the Saviors' style of racketeering is sustainable. If they go around killing the people they shake down for being one cantaloupe short on a delivery, they would have forced all of the communities they are mooching off to rebel a long time ago. What is the upside of giving your hard-earned food and your best stuff to a group that will still kill the members of your community on a whim?

Well its not like they go around arbitrarily killing folks but they do want to have that "edge". Which is why the guy who shot the kid was told to walk home.

My original point was that 12 melons doesn't seem a feasible expenditure when you consider the tension, conflict and finite fuel reserves, vehicle maintenance, etc. If it were 2 pigs, a crate of root veggies, bag of wheat, a dozen melons... up. whoops. where dah melon? Maybe...

There is no realistic sustainability anywhere but it's kinda one of those things you accept with rolled eyes like unlimited, non-degrading fuel, lack of nuisance insect and animal and weed population explosions, etc... in favor of story writing ...

Negan's enforcement/ruling clan is probably 100+ individuals times minimal 1000 calories per day = 1 million calories per day. That's 680 melons or 76 Taco Bell grilled stuffd burritos per day, neither of which is realistic on the show.

Plus, if the Saviors system were feasible, it wouldn't be terribly interesting would it?

    Savior: got our sh*t?
Community: yes, we had a good harvest this week and included a little extra so if you want to skip a week feel free to do so.
Savior: Thank you. I wanted time off to teach my son how to rebuild an diesel engine. Thanks.
Community: You're welcome. We're having a square dance later if you are interested... We have beer made from beets and oranges.
Savior: That sounds pleasant. Count me in. Alemande left...

I agree with your basic point but, isn't that 100,000 calories a day. Well, it's kilo-calories, isn't it but y'know what I mean.

12 melons was a tribute payment? LOL.
That would provide lunch for the guys who drove over there to collect it.

Nice that Morgan dropped the Gandhi act by killing one of his own people with his bare hands.

It still is pretty unrealistic that everyone would just stand there and watch Morgan strangle their fellow kingdom buddy.

Yup as soon as Morgan hit him with his staff the leader screamed to let them be (it helps that I watch with subtitles on).

So apparently Christian Serratos (Rosita) is very pregnant in real life. I'm not sure how much we should read into this, but could this mean she is done on "The Walking Dead" and that the suicide mission she and Sasha are on will go about as well as you can imagine?

Wouldn't these have been filmed some time ago?

According to this there are only 3 more left so maybe it won't be relevant when they start filming again.

It really depends on when she gives birth. Since shes an actress she can afford to get back into shape. Id say it takes about 1.5-2 months to get back into shape if you are dedicated and depending on how mucb weight you put on.

can look at the actresses who played Tara and Sasha. Both were pregnant during the show's run.

i read something somewhere that both Andrew and Norman were set to be making 450-500 K an episode for the upcoming season. A huge increase from season 4 where they were reportedly on 85/90 K an episode. Would be Insane if true.

I know that anything is possible but what are the odds of the two remaining doctors in the area to be brothers?

Perhaps it's because I was looking for something to like in an otherwise forgettable episode, but I'm starting to enjoy Dollar Store Jack Elam.

Er.... so the guy he killed is the brother of the guy he's now brought in to be his doctor? I'm guessing he doesn't think he'll get ill or injured any time soon :D

BTW, who was that shadowy figure the girl saw right at the end? Was that supposed to be someone we knew?

Since Dwight still has Daryl's crossbow I'm guessing Dwight is the shadowy figure Rosita saw at the end. Either that or it's a scout from another group not in the comic and yet to be encountered by anyone in the TV world.

I was thinking Dwight as well.

So Sasha gets to go out in a blaze of glory before she becomes the lead on the new Trek series
