Another Penta related video. Felipao talks (last August) about some behind the scenes stuff. The video is a summary of the interview, but pretty good. Talks about the Germans getting to the stadium very serious and seeing the Selecao arriving with instruments playing Samba.
Esporte Espetacular honors the 82 team after 30 years. I know that at 25 I posted a video they also made which I think is more detailed. But this one has a few extra tidbits. Like the band that was present in every game playing Samba that was actually part of the Brazilian Navy and stayed throughout the competition at the request of CBF. Once again they go and interview Paolo Rossi all the way in Italy. He must feel great every time he gets to reminisce about that day.
Full game Brasil x Argentina from Copa America 1989. First Selecao title I was able to witness. This was one of the games in the final 4 with Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. There was no real final, just round-robin. Although Brasil and Uruguay played the last game with 2 wins each. So essentially it was a final which reminded everyone of 1950. This game is special because of the goal Bebeto scored with a great pass from Romario. It also had Maradona who was clearly out of shape and got nut-megged by Romario in the beginning of the 2nd half. You also get to see many of the 94 team here. Romario, Bebeto, Dunga, Aldair, Mazinho, Branco ! Enjoy !
I'm looking for Copa America 83 footage BRazil vs Uruguay ..I'm looking for the clip of Eder blasting a shot from out of the box and knocking out uruguyan ogre Rodolfo Rodriguez to the ground and Socrates resuscitating him. Thanks in advance
This tells us more http://globoesporte.globo.com/futebol/blog-da-copa/platb/2013/05/23/o-primeiro-titulo-em-cores/
Say what you will about the 94 squad but I would never bet against them no matter who they play. Mauro Silva and Dunga at the volante position was something I really appreciated after going back and watching this team. Bebeto and Romario's chemistry was terrific , back 4 was better than advertized, and the team just wouldn't lose.
This site is epic. It shows videos of player's who missed good scoring chances and then shows a similar chance that Romario finished. Teach Messi, Romario! http://ensinaromario.tumblr.com/
