So it’s ok when it happens to those you disagree with?

    Who is fooling who?

    Well, here is the difference:

“It has zero to do with Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative, anything like that,” Baker said. “It has to do with a disagreement between two neighbors.”
Boucher, 59, is charged with fourth-degree assault, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.
    https://www.kentucky.com/news/state/article183634086.html

Also, I will say that this was wrong, and the law sorted it out.

The alleged attacker pled guilty to felony assault, has already served 30 days in jail, with 1 year of probation, and a $10,000.00 fine.

There is another case for "damages" to be assessed.

    Justice has been done.

What is your point in this discussion?

I would argue that "sleeping with a loaded gun at her bed side" is what is nuts.
Although, I suspect that if I was Rand Paul's wife...no, have to stop there.
Going any further would be too horrifying.

I don't think she is being unrational Her husband has already been attacked and his name on a hit list by a would be assassin for the crime of playing baseball. The fact you think she should not take precautions is what is nuts.

Not to mention Steve Scalise wasn't shot by Rand Paul's neighbor.

I'd say the people who sleep with a loaded gun by their bedside are the ones that are nuts.

    Edit: beaten to it :)

I don't see a claim that she shouldn't take precautions. That's you being fishy again.

You called her nuts for having a loaded gun on the night stand. Their house is under 24/7 police patrols because liberals are unhinged. I think having a loaded gun makes perfect sense.

I’d sleep with a gun if every night there was a muskrat on the night stand next to me...

I haven't seen you express similar concern about Dr Ford being threatened by "unhinged Republicans"...

Unfortunately there are plenty of nutters of all political persuasions in this country. But I don't see having a loaded gun on the bedside is a good way for anyone to protect themselves from them.

Oh, and it's noted that once you got called on it, you tried to move the discussion away from your comment that xtomx was claiming that "she should not take precautions".

Thanks. I thought that was comparison you were making.

If that was not the comparison, I apologize.

She should seek protection from Senator Feinstein. Unfortunately for Dr. Ford I doubt she is still useful to the Dems so Di-Fi might not be of much help. I'd suggest she buy a gun.

And I have no idea what you mean about the xtomx comment. I'll ignore it unless you want to clarify and pursue it further.

The reply I expected, of course. It's "interesting" how you want to blame someone other than the people making the death threats. How do you think that would fly legally if, god forbid, something did happen to Dr Ford?

It's not hard to work out. I'm sure you can manage it.

I suppose it depends on the circumstance. What would you call a partisan that shoots up baseball game?

I am not assigning any blame. I am suggesting she protect herself. I wish nothing but good will to Dr. Ford.

Had a neighbor in Utah who did just that.
After he unlatched his windows and said a prayer for someone to try it.

He was nuts and luckily he left before somebody tried him.
