You joke, but look at this kid's bio mechanics when he moves. He moves effortlessly around the field. We often overlook genetic based gifts we receive from our parents.
This is the next U-17 cycle. Some of the early big names in the age group. The two big stars in this age group right now appear to be Evan Rotundo and Dantouma Toure. Brandan Craig should not be overlooked. He's a big talent, capable of playing in midfield or defense. Justin Reynolds, Gabe Slonina and Federico Oliva are another couple big names in the age group. Other names to keep track of: Zach Booth, Takashi Sasaki, Ryan Lau, Austin Brummett, Nigel Prince, Victor Valdez, Oscar Rincon-Rodriguez, Kenan Hot, Brendan Lambe, Rokus Pukstas, Osvaldo Cisneros, Quinn Sullivan, Sahyd Nevado-Masso, Efrain Morales, Dagoberto Romero
Just from following youth boards and news, I'm really excited about the 04s. I'm completely in love with Evan Rotundo, and Fede is so good that he might even push Evan to the wing. Of course the media has been really high on Toure, although I'd like to see him against YNT quality players before making any judgements. I've heard really good stuff about Reynolds, too.
This '04 class already has a fair number of Europe-based dual-nat wild cards to supplement the domestic talent. Fede Oliva (Atletico), Ethan Borges (Sporting CP), Levi Skyum (Feyenoord), Aethan Yohannes (AZ), Joel Imasuen (Hertha), Mateo Perez-Nance (Getafe), Devan Tanton (UE Cornella), probably others I'm missing.
It appears '05 Dylan Tellado, the prolific goalscorer in the Earthquakes academy, is getting called up to the new US U15 group for the 2019 January YNT camp. Anyone is free to create a thread for that.
I heard a rumor of a 04 camp in a couple of months. Not sure if that meant March or April and no idea of location.
Highlights of Yohannes. Happy to Report receipt of US Soccer Association’s call up of @aethanyohannes to the U15 USMNT for 9 days camp in Carson, CA, in 13 days. Couldn’t be prouder. Enjoy this highlights of his.... pic.twitter.com/lNvy56X1Ii— Daniel Yohannes (@D_Yohannes) January 16, 2019
