But even I can remember this is directly contradicted by Keith Schiller's testimony

Others have also pointed out that trump's claim is also contradicted by his own tweets

 

They are contemporaneous memos of interaction between POTUS and DIRFBI

What other evidence do you have apart from Trump's absurd TV appearance?

 

I don't know what else he has as far as obstruction goes, but contemporaneous memos from the fired party are about as hot as it gets in terms of intention - especially seeing it seems Trump failed to create his own paper trail

This is why us legal types get taught to write letters to the judge

For instance in contract situations, when we have even a suspicion of ulterior motive our firm writes letters to the judge because that correspondence will count far more as to what everyone was thinking than what was written after things blew up

That was not the point of the article. It was about how Comey's memos contradicted what the President said, and the inference is all on the reader. It actually reads as if the author is assuming that the reader knows what 45 says is a lie, or at last contradictory. This paper is the NYTimes, not the USA Today.

And TBH, I don't know why you have your knickers in a twist over this (and tagged me about it).

This response reads like you think blunt force trauma is the only way to go, and that death by a 1000 cuts does not kill somebody.

The point is, that obvious lies are revealed - contradicted by Schiller and Trumps own contemporaneous tweets

Yet mere "bloggers" and "twitters" were quick to point this out as the big papers practiced stenography journalism

How hard would it have been for NYT to include the obvious rebuttal?

 

I was in a conversation last night and the general opinion was not about liberal or middle of the road, it was about somebody who will calmly call out 45's lies on the spot, and have some charisma.

Any written & time stamped record that indicates your thinking

My business partner will come off a call and send me a contemporaneous Gmail setting out all his suspicions, precisely so they are time stamped.

Then if people want to say oh your intention was X, he will say - well wait a minute - what about these emails where i discussed my thinking in depth with my colleagues?

That is what I'm getting at. 45 is in no way authentic (edit - except to the White Nationalists). The right person needs to come along and point that out to the middle, not the 35%-37% die hards. And, if he survives to 2020, the media will be pounding him all over the place, and he will melt down multiple times.
