Really, you are taking credit for Europe as a whole? If that's the case, you really need to consider how the French and Italians are treating refugees. As well as those in Eastern Europe. And you still get Russia. Unless you want to back off and claim only Germany.
Europe in the meaning Europe = EU not as in Europe the continent. Refugees and peace in Europe are also two entirely seperate issues that youve thrown together there.
No, you're not joking. That is indeed how the GOP uses the term. If you appeal to straight white Christians, you not doing identity politics. You are speaking to the neutral position. Everyone else is not neutral -- they are minorities of some extent, and thus speaking to them is pandering via identify politics. Straiht white Christians who reject this approach are also minorities in this construct. They are called "elites" and are rejected from the commune.
Yeah, kinda ironic that a bunch of white guys are marching for white identity on the day that the WSJ publishes a big criticism of Democrats for pandering to identity politics.
What's to pay attention to? There will be a bunch of noise, some "blood and sickening crunch," a life or three will be lost, the good name of one of the most pleasant towns in America will be besmirched, and no one will even mention the name of the General whose statue is allegedly at the center of it all, let alone know anything about him. SOP in Trump's America is all...
This is why I have said all along you should be under no illusions as to what the Trumpites are See also this White Nationalist NSC memo written by one of the Bannon/Gorka crew These guys literally believe Trumpism is being attacked by the forces of liberal marxism (i.e. globalist jews, muslims, etc etc) McMaster only managed to sack the guy after Kelly was appointed COS This proves the ideology in the WH right now my latest >The Dude Who Got Canned After Writing Nutball NSC Memo is Like Demon Spawn of Horowitz, Gaffney & Hannity https://t.co/nDObVKizOb— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) August 11, 2017

McAuliffe is your gov, right? He is making a name for himself, he is giving a great speech. Where is CCJ? Did he drive down for the protest with his fellow deplorables? I say that because he identified himself as such, when HRC said that.
Did not know this about Nixon: The scene from the White House south lawn on August 9, 1974, is vivid in the nation’s memory. That morning, President Richard Nixon famously boarded Marine One for the final time, put on a wide grin and fired off a final double-V to the assembled crowd. But one of the most interesting aspects of that day is what didn’t happen on the south lawn: Even though Nixon had more than two hours left in his tenure, the most critical tool of the modern presidency had already been taken away from him. He never noticed it, but the nuclear “football” didn’t travel with him as he boarded the helicopter, and later, Air Force One for his flight back to California. In a democratic country without hereditary power, royal crowns or bejeweled thrones, the nuclear football is in some ways the only physical manifestation of our nation’s head of state. Yet, on that August day, it had been quietly removed from Nixon’s hands—remaining behind at the White House with the incoming commander-in-chief, Gerald Ford. Moreover, Defense Secretary James Schlesinger recalled years later that in the final days of the Nixon presidency he had issued an unprecedented set of orders: If the president gave any nuclear launch order, military commanders should check with either him or Secretary of State Henry Kissinger before executing them. Schlesinger feared that the president, who seemed depressed and was drinking heavily, might order Armageddon. Nixon himself had stoked official fears during a meeting with congressmen during which he reportedly said, “I can go in my office and pick up a telephone, and in 25 minutes, millions of people will be dead.” Senator Alan Cranston had phoned Schlesinger, warning about “the need for keeping a berserk president from plunging us into a holocaust.” ...Today, if a president were to decide to launch nuclear weapons, he first would turn to the military aide carrying the nuclear “football,” the black briefcase filled with the nation’s nuclear plans. (The playful nickname for the deadly satchel comes from the code word for the first set of nuclear war plans, DROPKICK.) The aide is never far away from the president, as Americans were reminded when a party guest at Mar-a-Lago snapped a selfie with the man carrying the most important briefcase in the world. After choosing an option—one military aide referred to the visual guide in the "football" as the “Denny’s menu” of nuclear war—the president would then use a short code phrase (sealed in an envelope opened only in the event of nuclear war) to identify himself as the commander in chief. The Pentagon would confirm the code. And from there the launch orders would radiate out through the chain of command; the codes would be confirmed at each level, right down to the missile silos, bombers and submarines as they prepared to launch. The first nuclear missiles would hit their targets less than 30 minutes after the president had given the initial order. http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/08/11/donald-trump-nuclear-weapons-richard-nixon-215478
Trump's comment that we're considering military action in Venezuela - that doesn't pass the smell test if the generals are involved, but maybe if it's him, and Bannon, and Gorka considering it.
I don't think anyone at all is thinking about it. He was asked, and he answered as if he was commenting on the President, whomever it is, as one that knows better than the President, whomever it is, what to do.
He is. He's done great in this crisis. Just a reminder--we're having an election this Fall to replace him (VA Governors can't run for consecutive terms) and the guy who came in a close second in the GOP Primary ran on a campaign of neo-Confederate nationalism. He is in fact the Chairman of my County Government. This is a diverse suburban county of well over 400,000 that has voted Dem in the last three POTUS elections. The Trumpers are not ignorant, economically disadvantaged rural folk. He got votes from those people, but the noise isn't coming from them, largely.
Only 8 months into the Trump Presidency we are on the brink of nuclear war and Nazis are in streets of an American city. Seems about right— Dan Pfeiffer (@danpfeiffer) August 12, 2017 I think it's worth noting that the guys flying the Nazi and Confederate flags are the same guys who will throw out the phrase 'You lost. Get over it.' to Hillary supporters. edit: Cris beat me to it...
In case anyone missed it. We should call evil by its name. My brother didn't give his life fighting Hitler for Nazi ideas to go unchallenged here at home. -OGH— Senator Hatch Office (@senorrinhatch) August 12, 2017
Maybe well get a silver lining here. Maybe there will be a rash of red to blue panicked aisle jumping.
