I'm not quite sure I understand your post; but just to be clear, I certainly wasn't dissing any music because I think it's passe. Most of what I listen to could be described that way.
Trump's Interior Department is rolling back the fees charged to oil, coal and gas companies for extracting such from federal lands. Much of the money went to local governments, and this rollback will cost Americans between $60 and $74 million per year. I wonder how many jobs, how many pay raises those companies will hand out to their employees over the next several years. I'm guessing not many... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...a23ef30fb045fdaef11ce/?utm_term=.ca4049fc1fb7
Perhaps because I liked Tapestry back in 70/71? Then misunderstood when you said strike a line through it. Appologies. But no matter it's all in fun. For some annoying reason I can't get back to edit that post. The spelling and double quote. My old i5.
Yeah, but I thought I emphasized in so many words that it's (IMO) one of the best pop albums of all time. I was just saying that you can't ask "where's today's Tapestry?" because Tapestry is such an outlier.
Radiohead does a really good cover as well which is saying something considering I think Thom Yorke is a douche.
Looks like Trump is trying to copy Putin again. Handing out top money making jobs to his brother oligarchs. Not that they'll make billions here.
Trump is wagging that dog even harder now as he puts Venuzuala on notice. As he suggests military force may be an option there.
This and the news about the conservative judge appointments make me so sad and angry. People who pretended that there was nothing at stake or particular issues mattered but she had to have this and that now look at this.
Yet another tax increase from Trump... For years the Park Service has offered their Golden Eagle lifetime pass to senior citizens for $10. Ten freaking dollars and you never pay admittance to a national park, historical site or monument. Best deal in government, because, these sites are, of course, the people's sites. After August 30th, the fee rises to $80. So there are lots of people madly rushing to get their passes before the price increase, only now (in the past two months at least) there is a $10 processing fee and a $20 fee if you want to have the passed mailed. You have to think that the age cohort of 62 and older is going to be the one least likely to want to download a paper pass (as opposed to the nice credit card like pass of prior years). And from what I gather, at busy park sites, you can not buy the pass in person. Trump strikes again! Glad he's looking out for the little guy.
Good version, but Yorke has no depth in his voice in this song. There is no sense of desperation or impending doom in the vocals. You are not alone. Pretty sure that Thom Yorke's mom think's he a douche. Edit: She KNOWS he's a douche.
I've always found that the best way to counteract the mere mention of Radiohead is to listen to Stereolab...lots of Stereolab.
Future generations surely gonna love you for having to explain how you guys let HIM and all of this happen...
Trump - we might take military action in Venezuela. Military - no we won't. There's a pattern here, folks.
I'll stick with a tent for a few nights, leading up to a stay in the lodge or at a cabin at Lake Yellowstone. Maybe the Canyon.
Im in the comfortable situation where the generations coming after me will look back positively at the decisions weve made: not invading Iraq, taking in refugees, building a peaceful Europe, energiewende, beacon of democracy... What about you and your generation?
