Very interesting article about Devin Nunes and his family. They don’t even have a farm in California anymore. They have moved to Iowa and using undocumented workers there. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/a23471864/devin-nunes-family-farm-iowa-california/
That's because the Dems who run California are doing everything they can to run farmers out of the state.
Canada joins the now named USMCA (US, Mexico, Canada Agreement). Thebname NAFTA was Clinton so it's outta here. And I love this pic of Frowning Grampa next to the dashing Trudeau.
By diverting their rivers into the ocean? OK, I'll bite. What are the politicians in California doing to chase out their farmers?
Looking up the statistics, that's pretty close to true for native-born Americans. Iowa doesn't get many newcomers, and most that it gets were born overseas. There ain't a whole lot that Iowa has to offer.
Interesting show on telly last night. Richard Engel showing how the republican, evangelical, NRA, god and gun loving South. Have fully embraced a relationship with Mother Russia. Russian money to the NRA. It's truly a different scary country down there. "Russians are good people, they're just like us"
Allowing Mexican immigrants to live in sanctuary cities and take all those 'Murican jobs.... No? Taxing all the liberal elites from San Francisco to L.A. so they can have a balanced budget... No? I give up...
Given what I know about the water problem in Cali...might that be a rational policy decision? I'm sincerely just asking, not ironically just asking.
That's the gist of it. There are signs all along the valley that "Is growing food wasting water?" because the state has the nerve to reduce water consumption. It's apparenlty a liberal plot.
In the grand scheme of things, it would seem to make sense for less water-intensive farming to be done in the West, and more in the Midwest. We don't need irrigation here, as it rains steadily throughout the year. Then again, maybe there's not a lot of vacant land that is yet to be farmed.
