Trump has been using the term "totally" for over 30 years. His brain stopped working sometime in the 90s and hasn't uploaded any new information.
The practice is totally tubular, dude! So like if you dont go along with this bitchin business plan, you'll find yourself stuffed in a tube leading to the Gowanus Canal and stuff
When I was a kid, the Gowanus Canal stunk so bad that when we drove over the bridge, we had to hold our breath. It was only as wide as an average 2-lane avenue, so it was possible, but still, it stunk to an unbearable level. But thanks to an initiative from the Nixon Administration, lots of rivers and canals and lakes are a lot better than they used to be. But I simply could not believe that some hipster bistro opened up on the banks of the Gowanus, with outdoor tables right by the water's edge. I just can't possibly imagine that.
Powerful essay. Lot of respect for this dude. I’m proud to be an American fencing champion. Here’s why I knelt for our anthem. I’m a privileged, white male athlete. I’ve worked hard to succeed in my sport and represent the United States on the world’s biggest stages. I’m a world champion like Rapinoe and an Olympic medalist like Ali, Carlos and Smith. But I’m not a sports icon. Even as I risk my life’s work and the thing that brings me true joy — Pan-Am Games rules prohibit political demonstrations — I recognize that to many, my sacrifice doesn’t compare to others’ who’ve spoken out before. And I understand why. Before I knelt, though, I thought about the responsibility I have. I hoped to speak to my small group of followers on social media and maybe change a few minds. I hoped that if a few of those who respect me as a competitor thought about the risk I was taking by bending the rules a year before the Olympics, they might reflect on the urgent need to begin healing some of the division in our world. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outl...encing-champion-heres-why-i-knelt-our-anthem/
Gentrification will kick in, and they'll be able to say they were there when the canal stunk... like Barbara Mandrell said about country
I'm pretry sure the diehipster guy used to post pictures of hipsters trying to kayak on it. Cleaned up or not, that can't be safe
Obviously it is easy to dismiss Mooch as a self serving attempt to cast attention on himself. But I am not sure that is all he is doing here. Seems to be a pretty organised attempt to flagpole the dementia thing front and centre “Let’s move him to the side, says former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci of his former boss, Pres. Trump. “He had a good six innings, he’s throwing stuff at the backstop, he can’t even hit the strike zone... Enough is enough, lets move on from this now.” pic.twitter.com/2WWhs6wiZj— Anderson Cooper 360° (@AC360) August 13, 2019 1 Future trump speeches & rallies should be called “The Farewell Tour.” The thing about trump’s dementia that’s difficult for ppl to grasp is- It steadily worsens. What ppl see in 3, 6, 9 months will be far worse than today. He’s had multiple foundations crumble- w/ more coming— Tom Joseph (@TomJChicago) August 13, 2019 There are lots of different people writing about this. The decline in thought and speech are stark even since 2016 But the walking issues, balance, tongue thrusting, bizzare postures, leaning - all looks very very bad
In that case, the closer to the election he’s in power, the more obvious it will become he can’t hold office, the better the chances for a democrat to win. Assuming, of course, he hasn’t destroyed the world by then.
His hold over the GOP is still strong obviously - thanks to his base, but I think clear cracks emerged in the last couple of weeks. it wouldn't surprise me if Sharks were circling
I think now is an excellent time to do this: https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/gdp-growth Obama term 1 quarterly GDP growth: 1.48 (without Q12009, 1.87%) Obama term 2 quarterly GDP growth: 2.37% Trump term 1 quarterly GDP growth: 2.64% (without Q12017, 2.68%) And then, G-Dubya (whom a lot of the more-active liberals on this forum have apparently forgotten as the real evil in our century): W term 1 quarterly GDP growth: 2.48% (without Q12001, 2.71%) W term 2 quarterly GDP growth: 1.26% All of the "good, pro-market" policies of two consecutive Republican presidents who are multimillionaires and apparently very good at business have resulted in GDP growth of 2.13%, while the "bad, socialist" policies of a left-wing Democratic president resulted in GDP growth of 1.93%. All the chaos, the wars, the instability, the violence, for 0.2% GDP growth. With a $19.4 trillion economy, that equates to an added $38,780,000,000 each year, or $117.52 per person per year. I hope it was worth it.
I know the $117 is merely the mean, but truly it should be more like 90% of the pop getting a couple bucks, at most, while the 1% and decimals thereof split the rest at exponential levels.
Oh, certainly. In all likelihood only the top 20% received any of that, so they received about $588 per year, while the bottom 80% received nothing. That $588 was, funny enough, about the same I paid per month in rent on my first flat after university. It's not a lot, even for middle class.
Always amazed that the black guy from that movie never became a major household name. Like I can't remember his name off hand and I should.
Apparently the 2 Epstein guards at MCC fell asleep for a few hours and then falsified their log entries https://nypost.com/2019/08/14/jail-guards-assigned-to-watch-epstein-were-sleeping-before-his-death/
