Can’t believe they gave him an extension in January. It was always going to go this way. All my Utd friends are fed up. He hasn’t improved a single player in that squad. I hope he sticks around long enough to completely ruin their season and to take some points off City.
I think it was an act of bravado on the part of Woodward and the board in a bid to dispel the third season syndrome. Alas, the third season is upon us.
Wolves miss a sitter and are tied with MC at half. And Sam, while the quote for the new thread title comes from your post, I think I deserve at least an assist?
That offside goal will come back to haunt Wolves, I'll wager. And what a save from Rui Patricio from Sterling's strike!
3 times denied by the woodwork and conceding a handball goal but I'll take Man City dropping points any way we can get them.
guardian: Controversy over the Wolves goal, of course - shades of offside and hand ball - and City hit the woodwork three times. The luck wasn’t with them today. And yet on balance, a draw seems the right result. City weren’t quite at their sparkling best, while Wolves announced themselves as a team to be taken very seriously with a resolute performance. They soaked up plenty of City pressure, and attacked the champions with style and purpose too, something not too many teams have managed of late. It was a wonderfully entertaining game. For differing reasons, neither side deserved to lose.
I agree with that assessment. If Wolves had a better centre-forward than Jimenez, they would have done City.
And still only 25, too. He started out as a central midfielder (like Carragher) but has settled in central defence.
There was one moment where wolves had a goal ruled offside and citeh just hit the post straight after......anyway the season will be full of ups /downs and nearly each team possess at least one or two players that can change a game
Angry Birds FC blow a 2-0 lead and draw the Cherries 2-2 on the south coast. Red card bonanza today in the league.
can't say I'm surprised. but I wonder if the Saudi guy who wanted to buy us will grab it. last thing we need to have happen .....
The Salisbury / novichok incident has alienated Abramovich and now he wants out......he will want more than 2 bill considering how much he has pumped into Chelsea
Still restricted I think and he doesn't like that. The "For Sale" story has been denied, though. Strange for The Times to make it headline unless it's to create credibility for its downmarket stablemates.
