Both right, and the nike kits i thought were less than impressive. I've got umbro kits almost 15 years old and despite the fading with age they are still pretty much minted, the first nike one i got less than 5 years ago is in nowhere near as good nick.
Well done, lads. A good warmup for the more important title, and may ye win that as well. I'm from New Jersey. My hockey team is the Devils. As a result, I hate all teams named Rangers, no matter where or what they play, especially if they wear blue shirts. Therefore, despite my antipathy for sports teams from Boston, I rather enjoy watching Celtic.
Now that Rangers have been dispatched in a cup final, I simply can't wait for the rest of the season. I hope Celtic enjoy a lot of goals in what is left of this term. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTEQRwA706A"]YouTube - Hunskelpin - The Movie[/ame]
we're being continually linked to Aron Einar Gunnarsson, Coventry's young(19) defensive midfielder with the long throw in. i'll be keeping an eye on him on Wednesday night to see what he's all about but do we really need another defensive midfielder...? is his big selling point his long throw? is that what we've got to look forward to in the summer? i hope not.
LOL! The Sun really is comedy gold!! "Former Poland goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski believes the blunders by Celtic's Artur Boruc against Northern Ireland were a 'punishment from God' for starting a 'religious war' in Glasgow. (The Sun)"
it has all the makings of the next Indiana Jones installment. as for Boruc, i think he's heading closer and closer to a nervous breakdown. usual rubbish about an EPL team interested in him (Newcastle seems to be the one at the minute) but with his erratic displays i can't imagine there would be many interested parties. add in his turbulent private life and it looks even worse. when he's on his game and mentally focused he's (imo) the best keeper in Scotland and in the top 10 in Europe but at the minute he's all over the place. come to think of it, i suppose he would fit right in at St James's in his current condition.
i hope your all sitting down before reading this ....... Sammi scored tonight!!! in Greece's home win over Israel. ok, it was from the penalty spot but beggars can't be choosers. here's hoping it may jog his memory into remembering where the back of the net is in the SPL stadiums.
Big boost for Sammi, he helped win the game with that for his country, let's hope its given him a spring in his step for Celtic. Come on Sammi, show em' the gold!
good news - GORDON STRACHAN has confirmed that Shaun Maloney has resumed training but the Celtic manager is not putting any set timescale on the attacker’s return to the first-team squad. Struck down by two hamstring injuries since rejoining Celtic in August, Maloney has worked incredibly hard to regain fitness and is now ready to join in with the rest of his team-mates at Lennoxtown. http://www.celticfc.net/news/stories/news_070409152056.aspx would be good to get him back as we start the run in.
Big bad paddy and Wee Hoki Koki are getting a run out as well, hopefully that will give us something to look forward too. Seems to be a wee buzz about Paddy as well, he's ripped teams apart in reserves apparently, would like to see for myself though!
the Venegoor of Hesselink to PSV talk continues to gather momentum in the press - Celtic forward Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink has hinted he would be interested in a return to PSV Eindhoven in the future. Vennegoor of Hesselink is out of contract in the summer and Celtic are in talks about keeping the Dutch international at Parkhead. The 30-year-old enjoyed a successful five-year spell at PSV before making the move to Celtic in 2006. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_5165527,00.html
Saturday 9th May - lunchtime kick off for the last Glasgow derby of the season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/7998657.stm
Great, Brown will now be suspended, but Bougherra will now get to play for them. Anyone shocked by that outcome?
the 5 post-split fixtures have been decided - Aberdeen away (1230 Saturday May 2) Rangers away (1230 Saturday May 9) Dundee United home (1945 Tuesday May 12) Hibernian away (1300 Sunday May 17) Hearts home (1300 Sunday May 24) two tough away games to start it off. 4pts from them would see us move a big step closer to 4-in-a-row.
wow..was not expecting us to have a home game last day of the season but ill take it i can see us winning out as long as strachan doesnt implement any more stupid tactics away from home.
These 2 games will be crucial. How you said, do we need 4 points. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll get them with our away form of this season... PS: Have a look whom I met in Frankfurt last Saturday . CLICK
Nice one Borussia. Yeah, we need at least 4 points from the 1st 2 matches if we want to be champions again. C'Mon Hoops! I don't like the split at all.
