I'm going to tell a story the German probably doesnot want to read as it delivers a blow to his concepts of why people kill. The Dutch had in the last two decades military personal acting in UN action to maintain/promote peace in conflict areas like the Lebanon etc. We had a few (mass) killings by former members of those peace units, as they suffered from PTSS as a result of their missions. One of them served in the Lebanon and was faced with not only threats by the Lebanese, but also by the Israeli DF and constant shelling over their heads. It doesnot compare to what civilians in that region have to endure, but still enough to make them snap and kill once back in the Netherlands. The man in the Netherlands was traumatized by what happened in Syria and on his way to safety in Europe, as he witnessed the drowning of iirc his father. His brother, even after the incident that booked him as erratic in behaviour, without success begged the authorities to help him with his psychological problems. So this guy was in the same boat mentally as the Dutch soldiers. Now about the French incident the German points to. The guy is from Chechnia. You know..the country devastated and mauled by the Russians. I doubt if the German had any interest in what happened to those people as they were ..you know ...those kind of people.. The German mocks about psychological whitewashing of actions..but the truth is that when our Dutch soldiers have severe problems with relatively minor stress than the population of those countries had to endure, how bad is the situation with them than?
